Some Ghosts are not so Friendly!

Autumn Evening for me as well. At the time, my Peterson 314 (<--That one) was my aromatic pipe. I had one bowl and dumped it halfway through. I filled the bowl with something neutral, like 1Q or MacB Mixture, and I couldn't get through that bowl either. Everything was candy-coated with...

How Many of you are Divorced?

Oof. I've been with my wife for 25 years. The only advice I feel I can give is that we encourage each other to make time our friends. I love being with my wife and growing our family together, but there are just some hobbies, activities, and connections that we can only make with other people...

    Aromatics/ New Pipe Smoker

It's this. I often have a hard time finding the pocket in straight Virginias. I generally find them monotone. I like stoved Virginia though. I'll keep trying. I have plenty of tins that I plan on keeping in the cellar for a looooong time.

I know your handle is The Iron Monkey, but I worked with a guy named Theron for half a decade. I trip up sometimes, but don't worry. It's a complement.

    Aromatics/ New Pipe Smoker

20 years in, and I still don’t “get” Virginias. I do love Green Georgia’s Dragon though.

***What Are You Smoking, October 2023?***

Your bent bulldog looks a lot like a Savinelli 673 Saint Nicholas 2023. How do you like it? (I have the 2022 just a few posts 👆that way)

***What Are You Smoking, October 2023?***

It's Fall! I busted out my St. Nicholas Savinelli 673 and went lunting around DC with a new tin of Luminaire. It's good stuff. The St. James perique is pretty sharp! It's a little rich for what I usually smoke, but it mixed well with the crisp mid-50's October air.

Well I Think Someone Likes The Smell Of My Pipe

My dog is a fellow sock thief. First thing he'll do in the morning is snatch a sock from the side of the bed and run downstairs. I could, in theory, put them in the hamper. But what's the fun in that?

Well I Think Someone Likes The Smell Of My Pipe

I never really got into cigars. I tried. I have a small humidor, and I will smoke them on rare occasions, but once I got my pipe smoking sorted out, I haven't touched them. Plus, with little kids, the idea of getting 2-3 hours to enjoy a cigar is laughable on its way to delusional. I always...

    Aromatics/ New Pipe Smoker

I've been smoking for 20 years. I started with 1-Q and aromatics, discovered English blends, and then came back to aromatics when I learned more about how to smoke. Aromatics affect the room note, but you can often find the flavor when you learn to keep an ember at a low temperature.

Old Toby from The Country Squire

Good to know. I'm interested in how they rename their Fantasy South collection. I'll have to edit my cellar labels.
