    Heather Ale

buck, i have only tried the weis and dunkelweis and loved them both. i can't seem to find any real good craft beers where i go to college though. surfmac, how was stone's IRS? i have had their arrogant bastard ale and liked it. I really love a good stout, old rasputin IRS is good.

the main campus dining hall had beer battered cod today. i endulged in two crispy, golden and delicious fish sammies for lunch.

What's the worst tobacco you've ever smoked?

Middleton's apple is the only one i have ever thrown out. i also dislike borkum riff as i find it too syrupy (as with many cherry tobaccos). I find that captain black is a much less overpowering cherry, but has little else to offer. as far as mixture 79, many people don't like this but i do...

Sounds good, here are my top 5 beers to drink with a nice smoke: 1. otter creek stovepipe porter 2. yuengling porter 3. weihenstephaner's dunkelweis 4. hoegaarden 5. purple haze I like a nice thick malt in my beer, especially when smoking.

26th commandment"Thou shalt not brag about thy pipe"

chuck, you have a collection worthy of my envy. my favorite pipe is a Dr. Grabow Savoy. I'ts nothing fancy but it looks nice and it was my first pipe. Most of my pipes were used under 10$ but i have a baboo tobacco/opium pipe from china that is over 100 years old which i like showing off.

the light at the end o' the tunnel

Retirement is something so far in the future that i have not even thought about it. seems like i will finally have time to focus on my writing then.

    Tradition or trouble

So tonight was Clarkson University's first freshman physics exam. It has been a long standing tradition that engineering students who have already taken the test in previous years all rally around the entrance to the building where the test takes place, and "hazes" the freshmen. I'm not talking...

the light at the end o' the tunnel

My girlfriends mom has one it's sweet. i'm not an expert so i probably can't tell you what's wrong with your bike but i hope you can figure it out. I was in the mall a while back and i saw a pristine looking restoration of a harley KHK in the window of a bath and body, and it made me sad, kind...

    Apple pie craving

if i could smoke an apple pie i would, but since none of my pipes are large enough to fit a freshly baked beauty, i was wondering if their is anny good apple flavored tobacco out there. I have some of middletons apple tobacco and really don't care for it. What apple blends have people tried?

the light at the end o' the tunnel

maybe you'r engine's rpm at that speed is close to the block's resonance frequency, although i think a repectable company like HD would have designed the block so that was not the case. by the way, the real light at the end of my tunned is the time when i will eventually be able to afford a...

Who had a real paper route when they were a kid?

most kids these days would have used that money to fuel their video game addiction.

the light at the end o' the tunnel

music is always a relaxing accompanyment. Led Zeppelin is good pipe smoking music. And yeah, i'll definitely stick with my studies, I am scheduled to graduate this may with a dual degree in mechanical and aeronautical engineering. hopefully i made some good impressions at the career fair today...

the light at the end o' the tunnel

I feel as though i work nonstop as a student. I usually get out of class around 4 and do homework and study until about midnight. I have many early classes (by college standards), so I often don't want to stay up to far past midnight. This doesn't leave any time to do any reading writing or even...

Who had a real paper route when they were a kid?

round me, they've always had a fat guy in a station wagon do it. most jobs won't hire anyone under 15 these days. When i have kids i'm definitely going to make them get a job early to build character. My first job was a fry cook at the town pool when i was 15.

I should get back to work!!

I'm too damn sick to work right now. i have linear algebra homework due tomorrow and a machine eleements test to study for. I try not to procrastinate, but i'm pretty sure i have the flu. I went to a career fair today which went well but left me with a pounding headache. I took 2 naps today and...

    Mixing Tobaccos?

well said merry, i really dslike when you can't actually taste the tobacco because there is too much casing. I have some straight VA that is a little sweet and would probably mix well to balance out any overpowering flavors.

    Mixing Tobaccos?

aromatics must be fun to mix. I was thinking of getting some of the many flavors of mcclellands. they have basically every flavor that "jelly belly" would have only in tobacco form. If i ever get some cash in my pocket I'm gonna go on a blending spree. For now i'm all spent just bought lots of...
