***What Are You Smoking, November 2022?***

Taking a break from decorating the house to have some mulled cider with a pipe full of We Three Kings 2020 in a nice and simple BriarWorks. Not sure I have the stomach to watch the ND-USC game.

***What Are You Smoking, November 2022?***

Work week is a wrap, so I'm beginning the evening early with a skosh of Rowan's Creek and a sizable pipe of Fr. Dempsey in my Peterson House Pipe. And I'm being joined by my wife, who is only having some bourbon, too. I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday.

***What Are You Smoking, November 2022?***

I enjoyed the heck out of mine last weekend. And you may have an extra couple ounces of Blanton's for me. Hope you are doing alright, my friend.

***What Are You Smoking, November 2022?***

Today is an instance of the pipe driving the tobacco. I'd pulled out some Fr. Dempsey and when I went to reach for a pipe I saw my BriarWorks. A squat, I'm not sure what to define it as, pipe. And I realized it was what I wanted to smoke. Only problem: It is dedicated to aromatics. So I am...

***What Are You Smoking, November 2022?***

Continuing the holiday theme. We Three Kings 2021 in my House pipe. I was trying to get a squirrel in the background.

I'm so very sorry to hear about your father's passing. I hope you are finding comfort in family and in good memories. But also congratulations on the granddaughter -- bittersweet timing, for sure, but ultimately good timing. (My family had a similar series of events happen.)

What to try from LA's Tobacco Trader

Well, I was coming on here to talk about Tobacco Trader. I had it on my calendar, which was my mistake, that today they had Jeremy from C&D in the store. I did a bunch of other things and totally forgot. @atwaterville I hope you knew about it. Would have been a good introduction. I can't add...

***What Are You Smoking, November 2022?***

The Halloween decorations around went up early and came down … many to be replaced immediately by Xmas decorations. I guess we all need extra cheer. I’m doing my part with my first holiday blend of the year: 2020 Kringle Flake in the trusty Viking.

***What Are You Smoking, November 2022?***

I'm solo this weekend so an unusual for me early(ish?) pipe of good old Fr. Dempsey in a Pete Aran before I head out for the few things I have to get done before getting home and trying to do as little as possible. I'm fending off about 6 squirrels in the process. Everyone have a great weekend!

***What Are You Smoking, November 2022?***

Hey there. Obviously I just kept drinking those Manhattans.... Bitters are a pretty easy (if maybe complex) thing to make at home. You just need at least 100 proof vodka and a whole bunch of dried ingredients -- which can be hard to come by (maybe?). Cinnamon, anise, vanilla bean, zest from...

***What Are You Smoking, November 2022?***

Pre-dinner Kramer's Blend for Cary Grant in my Savinelli Canadian. With a Bulleit Manhattan (with homemade sarsaparilla bitters) -- an usual combo for me. Happy rest of the weekend, everyone.

What Are You Smoking, October 2022?

Capstan Blue in a Pete Aran. Pretty day in LA and even managed to get in the water. Enjoy the day all.

What Are You Smoking, October 2022?

Been hard to find time for pipes this Fall. But I’m having a day to myself so I’m filling the Pete House pipe with C&D Super Balkan. I have a handful of tins I should be trying but I’m probably gun shy until I feel like I’ll be able to smoke at least a few times a week. Hope everyone’s been...

What Are You Smoking, October 2022?

Capstan Blue in a Pete Aran. Probably having visitors for dinner so a quick little pipe today.

What Are You Smoking, October 2022?

September wasn’t much of a month for pipes. Since it’s been a minute, going with the reliable Fr Dempsey in my Pete House pipe (maybe a smaller pipe would have been better). And it’s marvelous. A nice calming moment this Sunday. Hope everyone is well.

    Hello from California

This one has brought us Californians out of the virtual woodwork. Welcome, from LA.

***What Are You Smoking, August 2022?***

Clock is slowly making its way to 5 ... before a heat wave hits LA, I'll have a bowl of Fr. Dempsey from Kramer's in my Scott's simple billiard. Paired with some mescal, ahead of pozole I'm going to whip up in the pressure cooker. Happy near end of the month!

***What Are You Smoking, August 2022?***

Finished off the work week. Thought I had also finished off my little bit of PS Nougat. But lo and behold I had just misstored it. So a lighter tasting bowl in my BriarWorks— which just smokes so well. Happy weekend all!

***What Are You Smoking, August 2022?***

Not a very smoky August but I’m really enjoying this bowl of Eight State Burley in a trusty Viking sandblast Dublin (I’d call it).

***What Are You Smoking, August 2022?***

Its just feeling like summer here in SoCal -- a little too hot for comfort. But schools generally are back on Monday, so the beaches and water will be emptier. (Pro tip: September is the nicest month here, especially beach- and ocean-wise.)
