The Canadian Edition Box Pass - Round 1
I've been watching with interest. I took part in the U.S. box pass last year, and it was a blast to have such a variety of blends to sample. I credit it with really nailing down what tobacco I prefer. That box was a monster, too. I'm going to be moving to Calgary in the next few months though...- classicgeek

My condolences on your losses. While knowing that euthanasia saves them pain, it also is an enormous responsibility as a pet owner and seems a cruelty at the time. Storing Aromatics
At the rate I smoke (slow) and with the number of tins I have open (many), I guess I'm an experiment in progress. What I noticed was that in their original packaging (tins, bags, pouches) my blends were slowly drying out after opening. So I now have 250 ml mason jars that I immediately transfer...- classicgeek

Flake Tobaccos
Damn, now I want to go and re-try some of that Solani 633 I've got aging. It's high-N (for me) and gave me unpleasant side effects. I put some in the box pass and kept a few flakes for myself. That's how good it is: I couldn't toss it even though it kicked like a mule. Simon- classicgeek

What Are You Smoking? June 2012
The last of the Frog Morton on the Town in my trusty ol' Brigham 1/8 bent apple. It was an amazing bowl, top to bottom. I'm going to miss this blend until I can get some more. Got a dozen other open tins to work through first. Simon- classicgeek

This is my main guitar: It's a Yamaha AES620. I like the look, tone and feel. I also have a MIM Strat (white), and a BC Rich cutaway acoustic in black and a handmade classical guitar. I'd like to get a Gibson Explorer, but haven't been able to justify it. :-) Simon- classicgeek

Found yet another quality tobacconist in my town today. They concentrate on cigars, but have a number of blends that no one else carries in town. Grabbed a pouch of Borkum Riff Cherry Liqueur and just finished the first bowl. Not offensive. Quality smoke. Wife said the room note was like cherry...- classicgeek

I would migrate from more to less subtle. Start with the virginias or light orientals, then shift to balkan, English. I can't say I've done wine tasting, but I know when drinking I appreciate the nuances of the first glass or two, then the tastebuds up and walk away. Might start the evening with...- classicgeek
