    Dunhill Pipes... Worth the Money?

If you are looking for a new lightweight classic English design/shape and prefer comfortable ebonite stems and bites, I believe the factory made alternatives are not that many today. I really like the few Dunhill (estate) pipes I have but I also have a lot of cheaper (estate) pipes that I enjoy...

Proposed: Hipster millennials are GOOD for pipe smoking

I am glad my son is not a hipster, as I do not want you to encourage him to start smoking anything, whatsoever. Not even a vintage hipster pipe, with a hand cut ebonite stem and the best aged briar filled with a sublime English blend from the days of....Sorry, I have to go outside to smoke now.

    Self-Driving Cars ... Maybe

Look at it this way: With autopilot, you may soon be able to ride more safely, easier and more comfortably, while smoking your pipe enroute ;-) I understand the anxiety surrounding new technology but we still have the choice of not letting the gear control us, take the old car, train , bus or...

    Show Off Your Barlings Here

    World Pipe-Smoking Population Size

and this same more recent study from 2012, is perhaps more clear. The pct of smokers can be misleading in the above but in any case, Denmark is still the most pipe smoking Out of the smokers, 12 pct in Denmark smoked pipe regularly, next is Sweden by 7 pct, Netherlands 5 pct.... You Can Lead a Horse to Water .... Sellers of Pipes Who Have Absolutely No Idea

There will always be some fraudulent sellers anywhere. Not only on ebay. Even the older famed auction houses receive fake art for auction occassionally, which may go under their expert's radar. However, in general, I presume the risk is low, when buying estates or new pipes on ebay if from a...

    Bell's Three Nuns (Mac Baren)

Thanks for the initial impressions, although I would never trust my own reviews, until after several tins over a longer period. But that's just me and my old palates. By the way, I smoked this tobacco everyday for some years in the nineties and I still like it a lot. The My Own Blend copy does...

    Not Getting Any Taste

I would suggest that you, as a beginner, try a normal size straight billiard briar pipe of good quality, I find some of my non-aromatic virginia flakes somewhat 'neutral' in corn cobs. If the bite of the stem is too thick/high, you may smoke wet and if you have sensitive teeth or dislike the...

Show Off Your BBB Pipes Here

So many nice and collectible BBB pipes :-) I have only a few BBB's but my bulldog # 400 from the sixties (?), which I bought as a heavily ghosted and oxidized estate, is among the most muscular I have seen.

    Famous Pipe Smokers Pipes

Storm P. , who was a famous artist here in Denmark, smoked pipe and collected many pipes. We even named the Calabash 'Storm P.' after him. You can see his collection of about 450 pipes next time you are in Copenhagen, at the Storm P museum.

    Why Don't You Smoke Meerschaums?

Bought a new gourd calabash of highest quality 30 years ago but only smoked it occasionnaly 'for fun', since it felt like too much cool air, like smoking cigarettes through a very long cigarette holder tube, if you imagine what I mean. But fortunately I still have it and later found out that...

    Selling Pipes on eBay

Unfortunately same situation here, as my outdated skills are not so much in demand anymore, so when new pipes come in, others have to leave. I presume you would be selling on ebay.com and not local ebays, as I did by selling several pipes via ebay.de. I am afraid too many potential US bidders...
