I've had the same experience as Skraps; even in small sample sized mylar bags. I had a nubbin of Strang (like an inch of twist) that still needed to be dryed prior to loading a bowl after a year in a ziploc sealed mylar bag.

Yep. The EK came with the bag. The vendor had others, but the prices weren't reasonable for the condition.
She had a nice Red Bark Bulldog, but I found out a friend was also chatting with her about that pipe and backed off.

So we all know not to buy pipes when the pictures are shoddy and don't cover all angles... We also know that when the seller gets basic pipe shapes wrong we shouldn't trust their assessment of a pipe's condition... But sometimes you just gotta go with it.
