What Cigar are You Smoking? - 2022

I understand that, €5.90 a pop right now is quite expensive for such a small stick, after price and tax increases that is still 20% more when I bought my last in 2020. But between RASCC (which I really enjoy also) and RyJ Petit Royales being more expensive and the excellent burn time I get out...

***What Are You Smoking, August 2022?***

Sup guys, been a while. I have been abstaining from tobacco for a while to reset my palette a bit and it worked! Mystery Virginia blend in my Jason Everett Lovat

    My First Commission

Very nice! I love Chris his work, especially the slenderman or dr patience reading pipe he makes. Normally he makes quite extravagant color combinations, but this classic take on it is very nice. I think I saw on his YT channel he uses CF as a support for his pencil shanks.

Pfeifen Huber Munich - Prices of tobacco

Thanks for sharing, I think their houseblends are quite interesting. That 40% increase in habanos cigars is a myth. 5th Avenue, habanos importer for Germany, has shared the prices. Halfwheel wrote a article about it with some PROOF (below plot graph) that almost nothing has increased 40%...

Picking Up Some Flavors and Smells

The surf part looks sooooooo good, that salmon omg. Good to see your taste come back. I suspect I've had covid last December (without much other complaints than everything tasted like shit) and I must say there was a plus for me, somehow my palette got reset and I was able to taste a lot more...

    A Lee Lovat (or Billiard)?

I really like this chart for determining what shape it is in the Canadian family, if it matters at all. I think the angle might be deceiving, put I think yours is a billiard because the shank seems shorter than bowl height. I'm very partial to Lovat and Lumberman straight pipes.

    Nation's League- Soccer/Footie

Bergwijn doesn't get enough time on the pitch. He wants to go back to the Dutch league and play at Ajax, but somehow Spurs think he is a great bench warmer. Im glad this coach has the balls to put 3 true defenders, two wing backs and let's the defenders play more towards the midfield as they are...

    Nation's League- Soccer/Footie

Nations league is there instead of friendly matches between countries, to give them a more competitive vibe and to create a even playing field. Countries also promote between leagues, there are 4, the top listed country in league B goes to A and so on. The 1st qualified in each group of league A...

    Latakia Blends

English blends are considered a good starting tobacco which I contest, but that's because it was quite easy for me to pick different flavors. Most will say taste is subjective, It's like food, drinks, liquor and women, in some case it's a lack of it. How on earth can you like Islay whisky!

    Swiss Army Knife's Jar Labels

@Swiss Army Knife thank you! really like them, especially you incorporating a few old tin designs. I do have some suggestions, but I first would like to let other members have a go at requests. In case you have spare time try the Ascanian blends (Distinct font) or the Peter Heinrich ones (Dark...

Anyone Have Luck With Altinay Meers?

Me owning only Altinay Meerschaums (no other brand Meerschaum) I would say DO IT, I think they make a great pipe. I have an off the shelve and a commission from them, they are very approachable to discus a commission. I also support the statement a 9mm pipes takes those filters but do not...

    Favorite Steak Marinade

I like acidic marinades when cooking a beef cut without a high amount of fat, like a flank steak I cook for taco's or tortilla wraps or also a flank steak cut for asian cuisine. For higher fat content like ribeye or picanha I only use salt and pepper, maybe some onion and garlic powder. For low...
