    Killer deal. Smoke the pipes before deciding if you want them restored. The monetary value doesn’t matter if it’s a great burner.

    Thanks and a New Problem

    Acetone and a cotton ball will remove the shell without damaging the briar. Some clear coats have the color mixed in, so it’s tough to know without seeing it. It will need waxed afterwards if you want the shine back.

    I bend a pipe cleaner into a horseshoe and give the chamber a light scrub. I only go for the deep clean if a pipe turns sour.
