    A Quiet Turning?

Me being 40 this year can chime in on this. Ive been smoking cigars since C19 hit and a pipe a year after that. When C19 hit the stuff I liked to do were closed so I had to find another hobby and stress outlet. Being a ex cig smoker, which I quit then 15 years, I turned back to tobacco without...

    The Relight debate

People who have to relight are awefull. If you dont master the art of the one light pipe you are not worthy. Not worthy the pipe, the tobacco, not even your tamper. You are worthy to your lighter or match, that disgraceful device which got your pipe going in the first place. How dare you to use...

I've Got Friends in Low Places

I think there is a definition for everyone if something is lowbrow or not. I like watches, but I have one nice one where some would have 10 of the same in all precious metals. A 10 to 15 euro cigar is lowbrow to some that smoke boxes of cohiba's at 50 to 100 a pop. So in essence I'm both. When...

***What Are You Smoking, February 2024?***

Sample of K&K Easter Blend 2022 in a Stanwel 85. Normally not an aromatic smoker and this one isnt highly rated with eggnog as the aroma, but I quite liked it! Smoked it with a 9mm filter which didnt mute the flavors.

    This May be Heresy........

I have one Peterson with a P lip, a Deluxe Classic 150. I'm indifferent to the P lip. For me it doesn't smoke any different when I don't change moisture content, packing, lighting and cadence compared to a "normal" button. I think they are great for clenching due to the increased button surface...

    ODF

I found it delicious 3/4 of a bowl, the last 1/4 always kicked my ass with a big nic hit. No matter the pipe, drytime, rubbed out or folded and stuffed. Bonedry seemed to help a bit, but not much.

    Pipe Rotation

I have 13 pipes now. It suits my rotation for now, every pipe gets smoked every 8 or 9 days. The amount could grow or be the same, but I imagine that if the herd isn't growing I might replace pipes in the herd if my taste of pipes or materials changes.

***What Are You Smoking, February 2024?***

C&D Star of the East generously gifted by @JOHN72 in my first Meer, an Altinay Dublin Sitter. I think this blend is underrated, layers of cream, sourness and spice.

    Lunch Break Bowl: An Inquiry.

There is no particular pipe or tobacco I smoke during my break. I adjust the amount of tobacco to the time I have and put it in a pipe I want to smoke at that moment.
