Alternatives to Whiskey & Pipe
I find drinking some Whiskey with my pipe brings out the flavors dramatically. Enough so that it’s not as satisfying unless I do. Anyone have some alternatives? I love my whiskey, but I don’t want to get into a point where I love it too much, if you know what I’m saying.- Eastmon

Bad News for Canadians: Feds To Impose 350% Import Tax on Tobacco
Not far off what they actually charge anyway. Border doubles it then provincial tax make it’s a triple. I’ve developed a disdain for government interference.- Eastmon

"Essential" Blends for a Beginner?
Just read these forums for ideas, then try them. Keep in mind as a new smoker, you may not have the technique down just yet and miss some flavors. So take your time with each blend, give it a few days at least. My go tos are Solani 633, HH Old Dark Fired, Early Morning Pipe.- Eastmon

Sorry if that wasn’t clear. I pack my Peterson, have no taste. Dump it and pull from the same tin, pack another pipe and it’s fine. I find it quite bizarre.
