Good size Bucks in Michigan range from 140ish on small side up to 200 ish for bruisers. Thats gutted hanging weight. Usually get somewhere around half or slightly more of that in useable meat.
I probably have 65-70 different blends in jars and a few tins. I have started stocking up on 5 blends that are now my go to favorites out of all my sampling so far.
Welcome to the forum from southwest Michigan. I like cobs but i would NEVER toss my briars for just cobs but to each their own. Smoke what you like in pipes you like and enjoy.
Welcome to the forum from southwest Michigan. I think alot of pipers have good memories of smelling pipe tobaccos when we were younger. Sense of smell can bring up very vivid memories from out of the blue. Thats why my wife loves the smell of mac baren vanilla cream tobacco . Her uncle use to...
I have been leaning towards sandblasts lately. I just love how a deep sandblast feels in my hand. But i have smooth, blasted, rustrated, meerschaum and cobs most with some degree of bends.
It's truly a great smoke and my wife LOVES the smell of the stuff. Win win in my book. She will ask me to puff this blend while she sits with me regularly and occasionally will even "pack" a pipe for me.
