That is probably the latakia which has ghosted your pipe. You can try filling it with fresh spent coffee grounds and let them dry, then clean and see. If the problem persists, you can try the salt and alcohol cure, but be careful (pipe finish on the outside, acrylic stem, etc.).
Leaving opera apart (Véronique Gens, Alison Hagley in Gardiner's LNdF was charming, Emma Kirkby...):

Hey Karam,
After reading this, this weekend I was having a bowl of Nightcap. Then, one of the many aromas/flavours I haven't yet been able to pin down comes up and, indeed, the "cumin" lightbulb lit up in my head. Thanks for pointing this out!
Homebrewing. I've become lazier and lazier, and all the cleaning involved plus the fact that now it is easier for me to get good ales...
My poor banjo has been sitting for years in its case, too, but the fiddle and the pipes are still in use.
Ascanian has a nice interplay of perique and orientals, sort of prunes + oregano + olive oil. I have only smoked the no 1,, but no. 2 has twice the amount of Pe.
It's this one, in the appropriately named Avenida de Portugal:

My $0.02 as an avid coffee drinker (aeropress and espresso). Absolutely: the darker the roast, the less acidic, and some origins tend to be more acidic than others. There's also extraction: an underextracted coffee will be sour and acidic (conversely, an overextracted one will be bitter). Choose...
If you google for "best budget coffee scales" you find several suggestions. I don't think you need more than 500g. If your scale is accurate to 0.1 gram and you can stand your aeropress in it, I would use it instead of getting a new one (BTW, never press on the aeropress while on the scale, and...
One more of the "you definitely need a good grinder" party here. I have an Iberital MC2 and it works great, unless you want to change the coffee you use every day (it takes a couple of espressos to get it dialled in for each new coffee bag).
I would also suggest getting an aeropress. It does...
At the same time, there's things like Russ Ouellette's blends exploring periques from different places. If enough people are interested in "terroir-driven" tobacco, this is bound to pick up steam. But the main problem, as has been pointed out, is that we are a tiny and regulation-smothered market.
In Donosti, there's Cava Nava, who should have a more than decent assortment. They even have a very nice YouTube channel ("Cigar Specialist") and pipe/cigar accessories online shop.
Another vote for Redbreast 12. Subtle, complex, with lovely notes of dill, linseed, sherry... and then the texture is sort of velvety and rich but not heavy.
And I second Guinness Foreign Extra, too. A great imperial (republican?) stout which punches way above its ABV.
Well, I would also welcome some more transparency on this. I see nothing wrong with using ingredients (I'm fine with botanicals in gin or vermouth, or vanilla in chocolate; not so sure about "flavorings"), but I'd like to be told if a tobacco has a substantial quantity of liquorice or has been...
