Sitting in my rocker out on the front porch watching the world on this beautiful autumn day. Got a cup of plainjane Folger's and a Castello ebony Old Antiquari 29 full of H&H Acadian Perique.
I only ruminate after pintos, cornbread and onions.
And, sometimes, ribs.
And maybe chicken, sometimes.
Spaghetti, too.
Now and then ice cream.
And, there's always...
Reminds me of a story I read years ago. A man once walked up to James Joyce, held out his hand and said, "May I shake the hand that wrote Ulysses?".
Joyce replied, "No...it's done a lot of other things, too."
"Jack Irish". Australian series from the Peter Temple novels featuring Guy Pearce as an ex-lawyer/private investigator.
This is a good series, well-written and directed with a just enough wit thrown in. Not quite Elmore Leonard but, getting there.
4/5.
