    1943 Dunhill Shell

Boy oh boy is that a beautiful pipe! Photos of the slot and the tenon would make determining the authenticity of the stem easier, if you get around to it!

    Sealed Tobacco Going Bland?

I have jars that I still take from that are five years old. Jars preserve as long as they’re sealed. That’s my personal experience, and as we all know in this realm, so much is relative. I can just say, it works for me!

    Any Brandy Drinkers?

Brandy is my drink of choice, and I have to say embarrassingly that I prefer the cheap stuff. Paul Masson Grande Amber. It’s $11 here. My friends have gifted me a few nice bottles of cognac for my birthday, and as much as I enjoyed the novelty of a fine drink, I keep going back to the Paul...

Gawith & Hoggarth Sweet Rum Twist - A Writeup

Nice write-up! I love the Black rope. Haven’t explored the others yet!

    Savinelli Gandalf 207

It’s always cool to have something that’s no longer made (well...except for asbestos insulation, or a blood-letting kit...)! I often imagine that some of the world’s most collectible pipes are laying in a trunk or attic somewhere...might even be destined for the dumpster after an estate sale.

    Hi! I'm from Bogor Indonesia

If our Indonesian was as good as your English, I think we’d all be impressed with ourselves. :) Welcome! That’s a good introduction post!

    Eeny, Meeny, Miny , Moe

I’d rule out the meer, if it were me. A brand new meerschaum, in my experience, is so absorbant that it detracts from the smoke the first few times. That may just be me, though. If I were picking, I’d choose one of the churchwardens, which are very nice looking!

    Savinelli Gandalf 207

Those have their audience, but like all collectibles, the collector determines the collectibility, haha! Pretty neat find, especially being unsmoked! Were you hunting one of those, or did you stumble across it?

    What's Your White Whale?

McClelland Blackwoods Flake, or Beacon Extra for me. McClelland was my favorite blender when I picked up the pipe. At the start, I only ordered tobacco when I finished a tin, and so when McClelland shut down, I had no “cellar” supply. I was able to get one more tin of Blackwoods before they...

Interesting Completed Ebay Auctions - British Pipes

A beautiful piece, no doubt, although for me personally, the lack of nomenclature is a deal-breaker. Thank goodness, as I am rather fond of my wife!
