Calling All Stanwell Experts (Pipe ID Help)

Actually looking closer, the 138 doesn’t taper back inward at the front of the bowl like yours does.

    Need Help on Nicotine

They wanted to put me on heavy duty stuff, but I am stubborn and optimistic so I opted to try and work through some of the things that might be the source of my stress without any medication. So far so good, but occasional flare-ups remind me that it’s something that needs constant upkeep, it...

    Need Help on Nicotine

Have you considered anxiety? Sounds crazy, but it was the cause of all of my heart attacks that weren’t heart attacks...it also gave me an ulcer I didn’t really have, and it’s now causing me breathing problems that my healthy lungs don’t actually have hahaha. Not to mention digestion issues...

    I Finally Got One!

It’s true! I was privileged to participate in this Birthyear adventure! Barrelproof and I share the same Birthyear, so it was cool to see another pipe from 1985, especially in a shape that I’ve never handled before. The pipe arrived looking near perfect, save for the expected oxidation and...

What is Happening to the Rim of My New Pipe?

Savinelli uses a lacquer? type coating on a lot of their pipes I think, and some fade rather quickly. My Oceana pipe finish faded in most places after a few smokes, leaving brush-stroke shiny places behind in some parts. I stripped it off altogether and coated it with my own carnauba. Yours...

Mike Zicha on Radio Show of March 9, 2021

The link didn’t work for me, at 6:54 p.m. EST. Is that a problem on my end, or could it be the link itself?

    Am I Going Mad....

And it didn’t come with an inner tube already installed? That is quite unusual indeed.

    Am I Going Mad....

I think it’s a 1959, as it looks to have the additional underscored 0 and then a 1 after it, meaning it sold in 1961.

    Am I Going Mad....

Dunhill pipes are made to come with an aluminum inner tube, from stem to bowl, so the fact that the ones you encountered couldn’t pass a cleaner assures that somebody messed with the drilling before you got them. Hopefully that fact can soften your bad experience and take some heat off of the...

    Am I Going Mad....

It’s an LC! That means nothing to clear-thinking, responsible, intelligent people...but to Dunhill nuts like myself, it’s an invitation to part with an organ!
