That Blackwoods Flake should be wonderful now that it has some age on it. I bought a bunch of McClellands even though it bit the hell out of me when fresh...but with 5+ years age on it, it is sweet and enjoyable. Glad I was talked into it by a good friend.
Having more shortcut to mushrooms than Penzance...I tried a mix of the 2. Had the sweet mellowness of the Penzance and a base of shortcut...all in all ....it turned out to be a pretty good mix.
Well...that was a hell of a storm...stayed a cat 3 even on land...this old boy has learned a valuable lesson after this storm and Hurricane Michael...you can't trust the storms to do as they used to do...now just better get the hell out and come back to what ever is left.
Good idea to get out of town...FAST...a cat 4 is not a survivable situation...worst I've been through was Andrew...watched tornadoes across the street from me...never forget that one!
I'll just add my condolences to many others...he was THE man when it came to Dunhill pipes...he will be missed by many folks here and on other forums, too.
R.I.P. brother!
Welp, I guess some love it and consequently the lack of it...however after trying it many times, I can honestly say that I get nothing from it...almost anything else seems better...not a unicorn for me.
Jesse and Simon said it best...the Polish stuff is CRAP! Be aware that it's now made in Poland and the old afficianados are saying that its a pale imitation of its previous Irish made self ...yeah, truly CRAP
YES, it is a beauty...and Ron of RdPipes is a master craftsman, I have 2 and love them dearly...not only beautiful but outstanding smokers...you can't beat an RdPipe...period!! JMHO.
