What EU Blend Would You Like to Try?

I'm Sweden based. Currently I'm working with a Finnish Game Company, so I feel I need to slip you a small sample of Plum Pudding Special Reserve. If you live in Helsinki or Espoo I'll perhaps going over soon for some tasks (just perhaps, nothing's decided), otherwise I can send you a small...

    Easter Discoveries In The Backcountry!

Old Gowrie is fantastic. Scottish Autumn is fantastic. Never had the other though I would love to try the Wellauers.

Director's Cut in a cob of some sort.

    Social or Anti-Social Pipe Smoker?

I worked at a massive video games company some years ago. I liked the tasks but avoided people at the end. They were so full of (uninteresting) trash and all I wanted was to be left alone. I went freelance. Sitting in my own office, crammed with books, old typewriters, steel nibs and crap. And I...

One of Those Days. Old Gowrie and the Burleys.

Nah, as I wrote above, I should’ve specified. ”Blends that contain Burley”. Of any kind.

    Salty Dogs. Cob. Bam.

One of Those Days. Old Gowrie and the Burleys.

Well, all to their own taste, but I would guess an opposite would at least contain no Burley at all? For all; I should of course have written ”Burley Containing” blend, since a lot of you now think OG is a ”Burley Heavy” blend. American style.

One of Those Days. Old Gowrie and the Burleys.

I I never felt OG was Burley dominated in the least. It was just one of the Bur containing ones I tolerated. However, today it was the the hint of burley I caught, isolated and enjoyed. That was the interesting part that made me want to see if THAT specific enjoyment could make me tolerate...

One of Those Days. Old Gowrie and the Burleys.

The beer is an IPA from a brewery on Gotland, the biggest Island of Sweden. In the mid of the Baltic sea. The home of the Medieval week, and a fav place of mine in the summer. Not normally an IPA guy, more lager, but this is fantastic.

One of Those Days. Old Gowrie and the Burleys.

In my about two years of pipe smoking (excluding the time in my twenties when Greve Hamilton and I accompanied each other), I've had this rather complicated relationship with Burley tobaccos. From the beginning, I was waltzing around with all sorts of blends, enjoying them all in the same...

Thanks. Yeah, we can hope these news on SG vs EU is just a temporary thing. There are still some fantastic tobaccos to be had on this side of the channel, actually most of'em, but Samuel Gawith is Samuel Gawith. And Squadron Leader is Squadron Leader. None can change that.

A Tale of Four German Latakias

Nice reviews. I haven’t tried Fayyum, but Fayyum Kake is one of my absolute favourites :) I actually find Zulu to be the stronger blend for my tongue. Not by much, but still. Both blends are top notch however. Another HU English I like is Tuarekh. Then there it is these other 10 HU blends I...

    Recent TAD Pick-Ups

With Samuel Gawith blends rumoured to be withheld - or at least a lot more expensive - for us EU folks I had to get me some additional tins. Straight to the cellar. Will stock up more on SG.

Finally Found Something To Cellar Deep

Not being a burley fan in particular, but Makhuwa is one of my all time favourites. And I’m really enjoying what is produced at the moment. I would love to try the older tobacco, but it is not the chocolate that catches my interest. It’s something with the HU blends, the smoothness or how well...

    Fayuum Kake

And for the original poster I can only say (since the answer never really was a discussion in this thread): Fayyum Kake is Amazing. I have stocked up on it a fair bit.

    Fayuum Kake

They must have a way to neutralize log ins using an US IP adress (If not in US). And Since the rules on tobacco purchases are different for us Europeans we don’t get the benefit of those massive Capstan packages. We can only buy the smaaaallll tins. It’s a bummer.

Do You Ever Re-clean Your Pipes Before Smoking

A pipe cleaner after the smoke. Enough for me. Can’t afford spending my days cleaning pipes.
