    Moisture in pipe

I have found using lots of pipe cleaners to help with this problem. I often use 4 or 5 pipe cleaners per bowl, depending on what tobacco/pipe I'm using.

    C&D Exhausted Rooster

Great review, this one is on my radar. I'm enjoying my TAD C & D Red Odessa atm.

    We've Got Snow

I'm in Richmond, VA. We have about 6 inches of snow and counting. I have to get up extra early to make it to the hospital tomorrow. Totally enjoyed my snow day today with a few bowls of Christmas Cookie and my old lady.

    Christmas Cookie

I have smoked three more bowls of cookies since the review and it has grown on me a bit more. The mid bowl/second half have a bit more flavor. Still burns cleaner than most aromatics and it doesn't linger in the room. It helped me to smoke faster and hotter than I would normally do with...

I Hope I Don't Get Excommunicated For This

I designate pipes to blend types more for the ritual of it than solid reasoning/ghosting fears. Enjoy the pipe tobacco!

    Do You Smoke Clay Pipes?

I love my clay tavern pipe. It smokes really cool and is fun to smoke something so anacranistic. I find some flavor is lost with them, don't smoke Aros in them.

    Brigham rock maple inserts

I think the Brigham filters are the best of the filter types, they definitely lower tar and moisture. I find it helps to rotate them. Take them out and let them dry between smokes and results are good!

    Christmas Cookie

Glad to know my palate isn't doomed. Worth it to smoke indoors with the lady after 13hrs in the hospital though.

    Christmas Cookie

Last night I fired up Boswell's Christmas Cookie that was sent with a pipe I ordered. Bag not was lovely, effusing vanilla and fig, wife was a fan and let's me smoke some blends on the couch with her. Room note was smooth and vanilla, much like the bag, first third of the bowl smelled great but...

How Do You Like French Pipes?

I have a Ropp Superior Bulldog that I absolutely love and smoke all the time dedicated to English/Balkan blends and a Graco that smokes everything like a dream. I've been eyeing the horn Stem Ropps for awhile too and hope to get something from Francois Dal someday.

    Looking for the Richmond smokers!

    Filter-no filter

I actually consistently use filters and go unfiltered. I particularly enjoy my Brigham filters and I have A Gaco Dublin filter (9mm vauen) that I enjoy using when I want to smoke aromatics or baccy I'm just trying to use up. That being said, I'm drifting more away from them as my experience...

    New to forum

Welcome! I have only been piping a little more than a year myself, but it didn't take me long to appreciate Mc blends. I was a broke nursing student who just assumed I would plod through their collection over time. Glad I was able to cellar what I did, but head over to the Peace blends, there...
