In What Year were You Born?

    Frustrated!

Another thing I just thought of, don't over char when you do your char light. You dont want to create a super thick burnt char that smothers the flame. Just a light char then light it up.

    Frustrated!

That's an aromatic. Give it good dry time. And like The Iron Monkey said pack it looser. Also, I've had some ribbon cut that they didn't do a good job on. If you see thick chunks break them up. Could also use all those methods on a different pipe and see if that's causing it. I love Irish...

    Corn Cob Break In

The only break in to a cob is to coat the bowl so it taste of only the tobacco. You don't beed to build up carbon. I scrub the side of mine with a pipe cleaner pretty aggressive to push it back.

Make sure your tobacco is dry. Dryer than you think. What are trying to smoke and what cut is it?

    Favorite Youtube Channel?

Beware of YouTube/bad advice. I mean you can get the basics, but a lot of them say nonsense. Theres one YouTuber that claims you have to dress a certain way to smoke a pipe lmao.

    Cigars Versus Pipes

Most blends will stay lit like a cigar maybe 1 more light if packed perfect. I think they both have their place though. It's more convenient to smoke a cigar while mowing. But I prefer the pipe. Its cheaper, taste better to me, I bypass a roller and pack it myself for a perfect draw, and...

    All Flames Equal?

If you torch it you're heating up the tobacco to high temp so yeah flames are different. But soft flames a soft flame for the most part. Some people think they taste lighter fluid and like butane, some like the taste of a match. Just personal opinion. I use a Bic, or my butane side strike...

    Plum pudding

My thoughts are if you hate English you'll be upset you bought 2.

    Plum pudding

If you've only had Captain Black you might want to ease into English with something like Nightcap or Early Morning. If you don't like it, try it again later. You might change your mind after you've smoked more Englishes. Latakia is in English, and its extremely smokey like wood burning. Hope...

    Chocolate or Cinnamon?

Christmas Spice by Sutliff is a great cinnamon. I don't care for chocolate blends much they all are just black Cavendish to me so don't know.

    Easy Pin Hole Repair

So I think maybe March (not sure) I posted about a T. Cristiano pipe that had a few pin holes in the shank. I got a lot of great suggestions, but a lot of them required some wood working knowledge or tools I don't have. So I thought about it and I ended up stuffing the shank with pipe...

1:1:1 Sutliff Stoved VA, Sutliff Sweet VA, C&D Bayou Morning

I looked for you. I see it available on some sites. I've never used them though so I can't verify that they're good sites. WV Smoke Shop says they have it.

    My First Pipe Smells Bad.

It's probably that weird coating Peterson put on them.

1:1:1 Sutliff Stoved VA, Sutliff Sweet VA, C&D Bayou Morning

I have those. I could see that being a good combo might have to try a bowl. I'm guessing the Bayou helps the stove stay lit better.

Can you dust it off or is it stuck on. I'd toss it if it's stuck on.

    Concern, Dental-wise, About Clenching

I think a straight pipe could buck or shift your teeth if you clench it long enough over the years. A bent would be less likely.

    Beginner Blend Progression

I see why aros are a bad starting point. They can bite if you don't know what you're doing, and lack flavor if smoked too fast, which novice smokers often do. But, if you don't like what you're smoking you'll most likely quit. I say smoke what you like and learn to smoke it properly. Tongue...
