I never thought I would like any blends as much as English and Balkans, but I thought wrong. I bought some Ashton Black Parrot yesterday, and I love it. Not as much as P.S. Bullseye Flake, but very close.

You lucky devil. That's great man.

Pipe Filter Or No Pipe Filter .That, is The Question.

I found the same thing happened to me. Once I started using the 9mm filter, I almost never got bitten. Also, the smoke is drier. The thread was meant to be about 9mm filters. Not the little Dr.Grabow, or Medico paper filter.

Has anyone seen the western, The Ballad of Little Jo? There is a scene, shot around a campfire, where Ian McKellen( Gandolf in LOTRs) is teaching little Jo how to properly smoke a pipe.

Out here in California, the most popular B&Ms are the ones that have a small smoking lounge. Because the more that customers hang out, the more products they will buy. Also, you need a good bulk brand, like Stokkebye or Lane. The closest B&M to me, which I rarely patronize carries too many...

February 2010 - What are you smoking?

I received my order of Peter Stokkebye Luxury Bullseye Flake. Smoking it now, and even though I have smoked good flake its absence, it still reigns Supreme. Yeah Max, when I was going through cancer, I had many things on my mind, and it was hard to smoke slow. At the same time, I may have lost...

Smoking McClelland British Woods, a great English blend. Everyone is a lot of people. One can be a gentleman without being a snob. Same as, one can have class without money.

Great pics Kevin. Great series of movies and books, promoting the the virtues of pipe-weed( The Halflings leaf). Pstlpkr mentions Unfinished tales: It was at the great Council held in 2851 that the "Halfling's" leaf was first spoken of. Saruman had affected to scoff at it, but in private he made...

Christopher Lee did a couple of TV movies, where he played Sherlock. He smoked a cool Peterson Meerschaum throughout. Very cool. Those movies can be seen free on Youtube. Maybe Elvis, but not Elvish=)

Another pipe smoking character in Lord of the Rings was Strider. When he is sitting in the dark corner of the pub, with a hooded head, all you can see is the bowl of his pipe glowing with coals. That was a very cool scene. Another scene with Strider: He is sitting by the camp fire, smoking his...

Lee Van Cleef played a great pipe smoking character in For a Few Dollars More. One of the Clint Eastwood spaghetti westerns. That is from where Pstpkr's avatar was taken. Cleef played a bounty hunter, who packed a mean pistol, and smoked a mean pipe.
