Is that considered a Volcano? Very nice. I have a Bjorne in the same shape. She's my sweetheart.

    The smell of chocolate

My bet would be Lane 1Q. Whenever I smoke that, my son says it smells like chocolate cake. It is the no.1 seller in the U.S..

I hate the last in the bowl...but...

Steen, with some of the wetter blends, you may want to put them on a plate for 30 minutes before smoking. It helped me stop the gurgles. Good luck my friend.

Have you spoken with him since the earthquake?

February 2010 - What are you smoking?

I am hunkered down in SoCal, with Peter Stokkebye Bullseye Flake, Twist Flake, Orlik Golden Slice, and Count Pulaski. So far so good.

Great pics ghost. The thing I like about William Conrad as Cannon is you can definitely tell he is a smoker. He has a cool tobacco box that he dips his pipe in and thumb loads, and properly lights his pipe.

    Pipe cleaning and polishing.

I have learned a valuable lesson about pipe cleaning. I was having trouble finding a pipe cleaner long enough to clean my churchwarden, and I remembered seeing some long cleaners in a craft shop. They were cheap, so I bought a bundle. When I ran out of regular pipe cleaners, I kept using those...

Favorite Pipe Smoking Character in Movie or TV Show.

I was watching an episode of Cannon last night. Throughout the show he was smoking a very cool rusticated pot. I mean smoking it too. Lighting, and taking big puffs. Every show I have seen so far, he is always smoking some nice Briars.

What do use to light you're pipe?

Sorry for the miss use of "you're". It should be your pipes. I could not edit. I should not start threads with a hangover :-(

    Best packing methods for beginners.

When I started smoking a pipe, I was told to use the three step method. At the time I was smoking mostly ribbon, ready rubbed, or shag cut. The three step method did not work for me. My pipe would gurgle and never seemed to burn right. Then I read an article that showed how to use the airpocket...

What do use to light you're pipe?

I walk over to the fireplace and carefully choose just the right size coal, and gently grab the coal with the tongs...Oh hell!! I use those plastic Ronson refillable lighters. They last pretty well.

    Welcome new members. Introduce yourselves.

I continually sip my pipe. I rarely puff my pipe except while lighting. It works for me, and keeps a bowl going for long periods. If I am reading a book, sometimes I get 2 hours. Plus, it doesn't smoke up a room, which my wife appreciates. Welcome soldier.

February 2010 - What are you smoking?

Peter Stokkebye Luxury Twist Flake. A blend of aged Virginia and black Cavendish. No topping, but it is very sweet. A great blend for someone who smokes aromatics, and would like to try a Virginia blend.

    Welcome new members. Introduce yourselves.

Welcome Tathlow, nice Petersons. I would suggest some English/ American blends. Sometime referred to as light English. Like, Count Pulaski, Barking Dog, Spilman Mixture, Revelation, and others.

Pipe Smoking on the History Channel

I did not like the way the guy was smoking. He looked like a human steam engine. I have personally never seen anyone smoke like that. I did like the the blending, and manufacturing sections.

February 2010 - What are you smoking?

I popped a tin of Ashton Black Parrot, with Hollande 1620 lager and Evan Williams shots on the side.
