Show Off Your Kai Nielsen Pipes!

Love it - I have to force myself to not pick it up so often. I've always been a fan of small pipes. That little apple has a TINY chamber. Not just in width, but it's very shallow too. I think it works best with small coin cut blends, as they fit just right. Definitely looking forward to the...

***What Are You Smoking, May 2024?***

Since the re-stem job by George, this has become one of my absolute favorite smokes. Early 60s Barling Straight Grain (3639) from J.J. Fox & Co. filled with Butera Dark Stoved.

***What Are You Smoking, May 2024?***

There are/were several white squirrels on and around the campus of UofL. Usta see them all the time in the main courtyard in front of the library there. I think I recall reading an article about them and how the white genetics are passed along every generation in that area.

Could you help me determine the age of my barling pipe?

Definitely post-family era. Could be from the 70s.. Doubt it could be dated very specifically unless one of the Barling experts sees something that's a giveaway.

    Ogden's Nut Gone Flake.... Psychedelic?

Kiss is a terrific example of how effective a solid gimmick can be. Just realized I said Steve Miller when I mean Bob Seger... Uncle Bob!

    Ogden's Nut Gone Flake.... Psychedelic?

I love all the 70s rock show stories about the openers cooking the headliner. I'm not surprised at all. Similar to a 14 seed beating a 3 seed in the NCAAs. My buddy Lou (a biiiig Humble Pie fan) always said that here in Louisville he saw Steve Miller absolutely kill the audience before the...

    Ogden's Nut Gone Flake.... Psychedelic?

I wouldn't say the Small Faces were obscure- they had hits. Stevie Marriott is in my opinion the finest and most soulful white blues/rock vocalist of his era, see- Humble Pie. This record has been mentioned here on the forum at least a handful of times in the last year. Pay attention! :sher:
