    Must try house blends

I am a huge fan of smaller local B&M tobacconists and have tried a variety of blends from quite a few. Most but not all of the ones I've tried are aromatics, but many of the blends are other types. I'd suggest checking out the websites of these tobacconists and checking to see if any of their...

Fribourg & Treyer: VINTAGE - Massive Tongue Bite

I'm a big fan of all the Fribourg & Treyer pipe tobaccos I've tried. I haven't tried Vintage but have a tin aging in my humble stash - now I need to dig it out & see for myself. All the F&T baccys are for the most part fairly straight Virginias with different leaf or topping variations...

    4 Noggins TAD Suggestions

The only 4noggins blends I've tried are Three Blind Moose & Essence of Vermont - both fabulous!

    Some tobacco help.

I'd recommend Dan Tobacco Sweet Vanilla Honeydew as a tinned option, or Lane MV-1000 in bulk. Or I'd consider getting some McClelland 5100 and adding a bit of McClelland Vanilla Black Cavendish

Newminster Superior Navy Flake: A Pleasant Surprise

Nice review - thanks! I received some Newminster Superior Navy Flake as a gift and liked it enough to order a half pound at what I felt was a terrific price for the quality of the tobacco. Enjoyable on its own but I've also used it as a blender with good results. Adds a bit of Virginia...

    Aromatic's...Am I Missing Something?

Sorry to also jump in late on this. It's been many, many years since I tried a typical "pouch" aromatic. I'm of the belief that almost all pipe tobaccos have some form of additive to add additional flavor. I've smoked a pipe off and on since the late 60's, and still enjoy a number of...

What Peretti Blends Do You Smoke?

Don't know if it's classified as a true English blend, but I would highly recommend Cuban Mixture

    Coffee Flavored Tobacco?

Peretti's Coffee Blend is pretty tasty

    Good Old Faithfull Tobaccos

For me, a "Good Old Faithful Tobacco" that I've enjoyed for over 4 decades - MacBaren Symphony Welcome, stefank!

Aromatics in your rotation? With a dedicated pipe?

If the OP would order from 4noggins I would definitely recommend trying Trout Stream, Three Blind Moose, & Essence of Vermont

Aromatics in your rotation? With a dedicated pipe?

I enjoy aromatics on a regular basis but don't dedicate pipes to them. If I were to recommend aromatics that should be readily available in Europe, I would recommend Dan Tobacco Milonga and Sweet Vanilla Honeydew, plus MacBaren Vanilla Cream

How Tight Do You Pack Your Jars?

2 oz. per Kerr wide-mouth 1/2 pint jars. Keeps/ages the tobacco beautifully for years.

5100 vs. Christmas Cheer vs. Red Ribbon

Aside from different names, can anyone explain the differences between these?

Virginia Blends with a Pinch of Latakia

While it is a blend with Virginias, Burley, Cavendish, MacBaren Plumcake has just a smidge of Latakia that really adds a delicious dimension to an already outstanding blend.

    Newminster Navy

I was gifted some Newminster No. 400 Superior Navy Flake and, after smoking a couple bowls, ordered some for my humble cellar. A delicious straight Virginia flake that's a great value.

    McConnell Factory Tour

I've been slowly adding McConnell blends to my humble cellar. So far I've only had the Red Virginia & Glen Piper - both absolutely fabulous. After reading your short impressions, can't wait to try some more of their fine blends

Carter Hall & 4noggins Three Blind Moose

I also really enjoy both Carter Hall & Three Blind Moose. Since you're looking for a tobacco in a similar category as Three Blind Moose, I'd suggest you consider Trout Stream; it's available at 4noggins & pipesandcigars. (No affiliation with either)

    Best non-Aro bulk tobacoo

+1 for Stokkebye Luxury Navy Flake & McClelland 5100 I'd also suggest Newminster No. 400 Superior Navy Flake - inexpensive & terrific!
