What's the Most You Would Ever Spend on a Pipe?

$4k? Sure, if I was in a position where $4k was easily disposable income I would spend $4k on any number of things that I wanted... But I'm not, so spending money on pipes is lower on my priority list than other things, none of my pipes have been over $120 and most are estates so much much lower...

Building a Pipe Rack with an Old Pallet - Pics!

Very nice, really like them. I do agree that a bit of stain would bring out allot of texture of the old wood... But very well done regardless.

    Estate Savinelli pipe

Ii agree with Pipeaguy... You can't go wrong with a Sav, I own two and are both great smokers... The St. Claude pipes are pretty decent too.mfor $33 and some elbow grease you can't go wrong with both of those pipes.

    Something completely new to me

Thanks guys... Yeah it sure is hard letting go, but I do agree that all we can do is teach our kids the best we cab and hope for the best. One good thing is that both daughters always tell me that all their friends, at least the male ones, are afraid of me, not even sure why but I'll take it, my...

    "Age Limit" for Pipe Smoking?

I started pipes at age 23, but unfortunately started smoking cigs at age 16. Once I took up the pipe, cigs took back seat. Now I'm 46 and haven't touched a cigarette in over 8 years or so.

My First Estate Pipes and Renovation Tip

That reamer that Newbroom posted is just a few bucks... Get yourself one as you will use it quite a bit if you'll be buying many estates. The dowel method that Rigmedic suggested is good too and I do use it on seriously nasty estate pipes... In fact I just used it on a small bulldog an antique...
