Have you tried making arrows from hazel? I’ve tried a few, you can straighten it while there’s still some sap left in the branches over a fire and the young ones grow pretty straight anyway, at least around here they do but they are fairly young trees. I’m merely referring to its effects on one’s organs, opiates although highly addictive have little detrimental effect on the liver and kidneys etc compared to naproxen, I don’t think I’ve seen such a long list of side effects coming with any other medication compared to that stuff.
