    Covid Booster Jab Woes.

On a serious note I hope you are up and about soon. A few years back I went on the OAP Vax blowout sale at some pharmacy in Florida and had a Flu shot, Shingles shot Part II and Pneumonia shot all in one go. I felt like crap for 36 hours and slept through the whole thing. The good thing was I...

    Covid Booster Jab Woes.

@HeavyLeadBelly : You have to twist your left ear very slowly than you will pick up Bill Gates voice in your inner monologue. Its like tuning an old crystal wireless set!

    Gold

Has anyone noticed that a Confederate States of America $10 is worth far more than a green back and now has the approximate value of an 1864 green back $10 dollar note? Just proves you can have a stupid war, blow up your country, but if you wait long enough the money from the country that no...

How to Get a Foul Taste out of Meerschaum?

Iron bladed knife to scrape the bowl, pipe cleaner down the stem, don't puff like a freight train and smoke a heavy plug or flake slowly. Seems to work for me and the previous owners of my pipes but what do I know!

    Orientals Anyone?

Only if she can cook and clean!

    Calabashes

@MisterBadger : That is indeed correct and apparently the calabash pipe was easier to see from the nose bleed seats at the back!

    Calabashes

There was a guy on here years ago whose name alludes me who used to make calabashes including cleaning out and drying the gourd that formed the chamber. He gave me a Scripto lighter once which he used to restore to like new condition as a hobby. Anyone else remember him?

Maybe Very Old Meerschaum - Your Advice Entreated

Here are a few more. The one at the bottom of the picture is an example of Northern Briars silver work since he carefully constructed a silver collar and 'cup' to support a previously damaged early 20th century meerschaum 'cutty' pipe of Austrian manufacture.

Maybe Very Old Meerschaum - Your Advice Entreated

To give you some idea of what your pipe will look like after refurbishment look at the group of 'cutty' pipes on the bottom right of the picture. This a group photograph taken about 8 years ago and is familiar to anyone who has been hanging around here for a few years as it represents a small...

    Liam Payne Dead At 31

I knew I should never have sold him that Condor Plug!

Maybe Very Old Meerschaum - Your Advice Entreated

Heavily canted 'cutty' of probable Viennese manufacture. The dye job on the lining is a good give away and if it features a squat double headed eagle in the case lid then you have a Vienna pipe. As to bands I would suggest probably repaired and that you are looking at a Britannia Metal band...

    Your Favorite Underrated Blend

Black XXX Twist and Brown Twist from Gawith & Hogwarts is rarely spoken about but can be mixed with some of their other flakes to enhance the nicotine yield and flavor profiles. Broken Flake No:7 is another one you don't hear much about which our friends in Cumbria has so far not managed to...

Show Off Your Meerschaum Pipes Here!

That's it? You need a bigger table and more pipes. If you own less than 50 means you could be exhibiting latent Pipo-sexuality. Anything over 100 then you would be welcome to marry my sister if I had one! Come to think of it if I had a sister I wonder what she would be like? rotf

    Calabashes

I just couldn't see myself rocking one of those pipes!
  15. condorlover1

    Calabashes

I had one from the 1900's which I gave away to someone on here years ago. They are interesting pipes but I have always felt that they are bit unwieldily and require the wearing of a silly hat whilst smoking them. I am always reminded of the silly Holmes and Watson joke about them going camping...

Burning out every pipe I own

Switch to one of those asbestos pipes?

    Anise / Licorice

WHG always reminded me of smoking a bottle of Anisette and not in a good way - especially considering it was meant to taste like Condor but somehow swerved off the intended path when the Oompa Loompa's at C.I's blending department got hold of the concept.

@Chasing Embers : I thought I recognized the style. It was copied from this pipe that I lent Ramazan quite a few years ago and he sent it out to Turkey and the result was the pipe you have in your picture.

The third one from the top did that come from Ramazan at Meerschaum Market?

    Smoking a Pipe with GERD/Reflux

@SmokingInTheWind : I suppose if you were set fire to your emissions that would really justify your name!
