    Gerald, welcome from Maryland!

    Picking on Brits a Bit

Ok, so we've come full circle. Poop on eggs. Why do Brits not wash eggs and keep room temperature poop eggs on the counter?

    Picking on Brits a Bit

I used to take care of chickens. Just feeding and cleaning up the never ending shit (it was an indoor facility). But I have never noticed the vent. Nor have I thought much about it til this moment.

    Picking on Brits a Bit

I think knowing that it's called "the vent" made my day.

    TAD Acquisitions 2024

Cross-pollination of threads.... I wonder if our British pals know of Hawk Tuah girl?

    Picking on Brits a Bit

Well, I'd agree with this part if we actually gave a damn about British history. We had a few fights over the right to not give a shit about Britain if my American history serves me. (1776 and 1812). All banter aside, it's everything the American public school can do just to teach kids 250...

🎄🌟 The Unofficial Official PM Secret Santa 2024 Thread 🌟 🎄

Wow, what an amazing gift @SBC! I'd love to hear a review of the book once you finish! The generous displays of the spirit of Som Besths on this forum is truly a sight to behold. One that gives me hope for mankind.

Also, does pig Latin count? I've never raised pigs but I'm fluent nonetheless.

    Picking on Brits a Bit

Medical fields, Legal system, Botany, etc all use non-liturgical, albeit specific, Latin phrases. I'm just not understanding the point. Edit: explained above

    Picking on Brits a Bit

I'm all for you hitting back, because it's more fun that way. 😁 However, perhaps it's my rudimentary education or the fact that you speak English and I speak American, but I'm struggling to understand your point about Latin in the U.S. in particular, and what that has to do with anything, in...

    Picking on Brits a Bit

At my public school I was taught proper English as well as French, Spanish, and yes, Latin. In college I continued those languages and added German and Russian. Latin in the United States isn't for show. I would venture to say almost no one knows it and few would claim proficiency. However...

Climate Change and Its Impact on Tobacco Quality

Is it possible that in accusing each other of being "triggered" that we, ourselves, are exhibiting a "trigger" of sorts? I mean, I like all you guys on here and don't have anyone of you blocked, but if anyone here thinks that I would be triggered by you, then you can fuck off. Honestly, as a...

    19th century pipes

I "read" Moby Dick via audiobook while driving. I'm usually in the car for 15 to 20+ hours per week so I'd listen for an hour or two a day and that helped keep it fresh. Additionally, as has been mentioned, clay pipes were ubiquitous. One thing I recently came across in a B&M was a clay mold...

    Picking on Brits a Bit

Hell, even here in Maryland we say oil and earl and something akin to ol'. Water vs. Wooder. Wash vs. Warsh. Just depends on whether you're from the mountainous western part of the state, the urban central part of the state with Baltimore and DC, or from the flat eastern shore.

    Picking on Brits a Bit

I like Guinness regardless of temperature. I also eat fried eggs straight from the refrigerator to the pan 😁

What was your first blend and is it part of your current rotation?

My first blend was Captain Black blue pouch. I also had some tobacco from a shop in the Outer Banks. I still have CB blue in the rotation. I also still have some of the tobacco from the OBX. Jamaican Rum from Smoker Friendly was also an early blend I liked.
