    Meerschaum with wonky stem. Help!!!

It won't work if the tenon is threaded normally. Turning it clockwise will just break the pipe. I am working on one now that has the threaded tenon. The shank end of the tenon has been glued in, sometime in the past. Probably after the guy broke the pipe by turning it clockwise. The stem of the...

Reconstruction of a Bit Through Busted up Stem

OK, yes, we need to see your repair pictures. Joeman, and others, what material do you use for the patch? I am using T-88 epoxy with their blackening agent for several repairs now. Also, one on an amber stem with the epoxy without blackening. Glue curing now... I would like to learn more from...

    Has anyone had a discectomy?

Please, those who naysay surgery, learn more. I was told the same crap and know lots of people who have had problems. Many of the problems come from improper surgery and methods, many come from being stupid after surgery. So, find a good doctor. Get his recommendation. I was lucky and found one...

Kramer's Pipe & Tobacco Shop Closing

Seagull, would you be willing to buy at your local B&M and ship to each of us here who don't have a local B&M? WE would be willing to allow you to pay the shipping also. Unfortunately, many of us don't have a local store, or unlimited money to pay for their overhead. Life is real in some places.

OH YUK! (Or, Beware the OLD Meerschaum Stem)

Well, for those naysayers :nana: who said it didn't happen, here is the 'clogged artery' view. The camera didn't like it, but if you look closely, you can see the wall of the smoke path, beyond the dark tenon. I didn't remove the tenon, it was tight and the stem is timed now, so I left it...

    Mansion House Stem Repair

I swear I already had a thread on this pipe, but I can't find it. I got this Mansion House (Comoy second) in a lot off of ebay. The pipe is in good shape except for the end of the stem. I want to restore it, so I started today. The pipe: And the poor unfortunate stem: I intend to repair it...

    Has anyone had a discectomy?

I have a fusion and titanium parts and a bunch of laminectomies in my lower back. 4 years ago, it was. I had bad lower back pain, but nothing like yours. My right leg was mostly numb and would just collapse due to the pressure on the nerve. I was up and walking immediately after surgery, well...
