    The (Un)Official Secret Santa 2020!

My gift came in today, with some very fine wrapping at that. I hope my giftee (whose box is set to be delivered by now) also has a very nice wrapping of brown packing paper and a usps box.

    An Internal Dilemma

That's fair and a good summation of the blend world. As far as soothing taste buds I'm sure there's some well crafted menthol blends out there?

    An Internal Dilemma

Ah a fair bargain finally :ROFLMAO: . I still consider myself new due to the average experience level on this forum, and it would be laughable in that case to call myself anywhere near experienced.

    An Internal Dilemma

Probably the best answer for all parties

    Rooster or Nite Owl?

I usually find myself smoking a pipe late afternoon sometime before dinner. I may have one after if it's a quiet night but the lull between work and dinner calls for a pipe to reflect on the day, at least for me.

    An Internal Dilemma

You're telling me I can't grift my way to my first million?

    An Internal Dilemma

Fair enough, I just ordered some Elizabethan so I'll have to compare.

    An Internal Dilemma

:ROFLMAO: a Viking funeral for the deceased blends.

    An Internal Dilemma

Seems like the reasonable answer. I'll just have to fight my internal compulsions to seek out a $50+ tin.

    An Internal Dilemma

As a relatively new pipe smoker that had the misfortune to start smoking Dunhill and McClelland blends shortly before their discontinuation I have a few of these said discontinued blends such as Balkan Blue, Durbar and Ye Olde Signe. My dilemma comes when I consider what I want to smoke. Do I...

    Knock Off Mason Jars

@Richmond B. Funkenhouser As long as the seal isn’t cracked or looks dry rotted you should be good to go. If you want to be extra sure get some isopropyl alcohol or high proof grain alcohol and pour a SMALL amount in. Submerge the bottom in some hot water. Lid pops up you‘re good. If you hear a...

    Knock Off Mason Jars

Unless I am mistaken, which is not uncommon, Ball is the "official" mason jar, which I interpreted as the brand of mason-mason jars @Richmond B. Funkenhouser was referring to.

    Knock Off Mason Jars

Any ball-style jar with a rubber seal should work fine, whether in the interim or long-term. The only issue I would potentially foresee would be a cheaper material used on the lid creating a weaker seal. The cheapest foolproof alternative however would be to run to Walmart or home depot and...

    Smoking a Pipe at 36

Bought my first pipe the day I turned 18, 3 years later I still get funny looks and comments. I guess at my age smoking a pipe is either seen as odd or another way "us kids are smokin' the devils lettuce." Either way, I'm generally to busy enjoying the smoke to mind.
