If There Were No Nicotine in Pipe Tobacco...

What in the world does nicotine taste like? Smoking a large bowl of Earl Grey tea is now one more thing to put on my bucket list. Maybe I'll get a caffeine hit! As with marihuana, it's the effect of the smoke that people crave and desire, not the taste. Companies have tried manufacturing...

If There Were No Nicotine in Pipe Tobacco...

Maybe I'm fooling myself but I have never felt any effect from nicotine in any pipe tobacco. Are people inhaling pipe tobacco? I've never understood how some tobacco reviews rate the level of nicotine when I can't perceive it whatsoever. I've tried pipe tobaccos that are supposed to carry...

Have You Quit Pipe Smoking In the Past, and Why?

I quit because I inherited an African Grey parrot. Parrots can not tolerate pipe smoke or any smoke. Even smoke from non-stick pans can kill a parrot so I stashed the pipes and the non-stick pans and lived without for about 5 years. Then we had to move overseas due to work and I had to hand...

If You Had to Choose Only One Tobacco

I would have to quit the pipe. My favorite is a favorite for a few weeks and then I start to enjoy a new favorite. All those different tobaccos is what makes my pipe smoking a pleasure and a hobby for me.

I haven't checked lately but I think you can find plenty of Boswell pipes on eBay.

    WTF Anti-Smoking Ad

I often do business with a cardiologist and when I first walked into his private office, I was bombarded by Latakia. We've shared a pipeful here and there since that day. He hides in his office and doesn't want anyone to know he is a smoker. It is quite strange that we have to go either one...

    What Cigar are You Smoking?

Fuente Double Chateau. One of my favorites for the past 20 years.

Forums Membership Grows, But Do Posts?

Forums like these have a lot of regular poster that post and post and post. I'm sure that it makes a lot of new posters think that they are invading a group that hasn't invited them. It takes time for people to get to know the regular "preferred members" or "senior members" (and I have no idea...

First Smoke of the Day ?

I've said it before and I'll say it again......... I love the smell of latakia in the morning.

    Who Else Loves Old Gowrie?

To put it street level......... Rattray's is really an incredible bunch of tobaccos. Old Gowrie is my favorite of the bunch but I really have no complaints about any of them. Leave me alone, in the right mood, with any of the Rattray's blends and I can call any one of them a "favorite". And...

    Prune Taste Tobacco

"Prune" is what I sometimes get from a tobacco that has perique.

    How Often?

I love the smell of latakia in the morning!......? I usually end up smoking 3 bowls a day including a Virginia flake in the afternoon and whatever calls to me in the evening unless I've smoked a cigar. After a cigar I'm done for the day and cigars usually happen in the afternoon for me.

Fish Tank Bubble-Maker to Smoke a Pipe

Oh boy, another forum with insult-posts from someone that doesn't let us know where THEY are from. You are the first one ever to make fun of (aka be jealous) of someone from California. No age requirements to post here? Never said a thing about caring or being paranoid one way or another...

Fish Tank Bubble-Maker to Smoke a Pipe

I can't wrap my brain around this behavior. Filling the room with tobacco smoke without enjoying the actual smoking of the tobacco? Second hand smoking...... never thought that would be a thing.

    Royal Yacht

........ more like a couple dozen per hour from what I've seen. There are very few tobacco reviews on tobacco reviews.com where you won't get that, "there are grassy notes, with hints of citrus and leather along with a hit of clipped rose pedals". To me it's hilarious. :ROFLMAO:

What's the Goopiest Aromatic You've Ever Tried?

I haven't tried too many goopy aromatics but Molto Dolce has to be the wettest smoke. Not my cup of tea but many people like that part of pipe smoking. Having to baby a smoke is part of what makes some stick with pipe smoking. They like to fiddle and poke and comment and smoke stuff that...

    Best Smoke at Reasonable Price?

Yes, cigars are more expensive than pipe tobacco. Theres a reason for that but that's for another thread. That's what makes pipe smoking so wonderful. The rich and the poor can experience the same pipe tobacco and bond without elitism. "Reasonable price" is a relative term. When comparing...

    Pipe Pricing

Bottom line is that a $200 pipe can smoke, feel and be just as good as a $1500 pipe unless you are quite knowledgable about pipe making, pipe makers and the tiny things that don't really matter when talking about actual smoking qualities. Aesthetics is an important part of pricing a pipe. Of...

    How Do You Cut Yours?

Cigars are expensive. At least the ones worth smoking are. That's why I like to treat tobacco as a special thing and with a lot of respect. I've been using a Davidoff double guillotine for many years. It's part of my cigar smoking experience and ritual. Just like some claim using matches...
