    How Do They Stamp Nomenclatures?

Subject line says it all. How do pipe manufactures stamp the lettering on pipes? Edited by jvnshr: Title capitalization.

    Burley & Breakfast Stout

I agree on the Old Rasputin, it is good (haven't tried the others) but I'm putting Founders above it even.

    Burley & Breakfast Stout

Founder's Breakfast Stout is one of my favorites. It's seasonal and regional (although the region is expanding) so be sure to stock up if you'll want to drink it over the summer.

Another Reason I Love the Pipe Smoking Community

... and the ones on this forum specifically. Most generous people anywhere. A big, big thank you to theloniousmonkfish who sent me two Dr. Grabow Color Dukes, which arrived in the mail today. Thank you, sir. I will do a restoration thread on these so you can see them come back to life. And not...

    Bari Special Handcut vs. Lawnmower

Thank you for the kind condolences and the timely humor. Someday I might look back on mcitinner1's comment and think they were the right words for the right time, but now it just hurts.

    Bari Special Handcut vs. Lawnmower

Lawnmower won. I'm a huffer, a puffer, a blower Even when I am pushing a mower My eyes sprung from their socket When it lept from my pocket And the life of my Bari was over RIP my dear pipe. I will miss you.

    Fantastic Red Viscount

Yes, these were made between 1975 and 1980. It is remarkable that they can be found in such good condition. Here are the after pics. Kinda hard to see much difference. A little cleaner, a little shinier, less ghosty, red in the bead line instead of black... And yes, very RED!

    First Restoration Attempt

Nice job. You can always keep coming back to the stem and kind of restore it as you smoke it.

    A Few Repair Before/After Pics 10/25

Holy Toledo! That is fantastic. How did you "lighten the stain?"

    Fantastic Red Viscount

Hi Folks, I really have a thing for these "color" Grabows. I enjoy purchasing them, keeping the nice ones and the really bad ones for restoration, and selling the ones that are mediocre. Sometimes I really luck out with a nice one, and the one that arrived in the mail today is really nice. Very...

    Inherited a Couple of Pipes

I think you would find it quite rewarding to restore your grandfather's pipes and then have the pleasure of using family heirlooms.

Dang, you don't get much time to edit on this forum! I meant to move this to Pipe Maint/Repair. Can a moderator please do that for me?

    Saving a Plain Jane

Dug this old pipe out of the junk drawer and decided to give her a once-over. This pipe was part of a lot I purchased last summer. It is a Medico Guardsman. Briar, not Brylon. I keep forgetting to take "before" pics because I get too antsy to get started and next thing I know I'm half done and...
