Syrian Latakia would be my vote. There would be a potential for a greater variety of blends as it could be used by every manufacturer. McClelland reds are mainly just made into McClelland blends and some blends from B&Ms. Even McClelland made some good blends with Syrian Latakia.- brightleaf

I enjoy the nicotine buzz. If I want something similar to a cigarette I will usually pack my smaller pipe (5-9 minute smoke) with a tobacco that isn't harsh. I inhale the smoke into my lungs. I like Virginia #1 for this purpose.- brightleaf
