I live in Milan and I haven't seen yet the Clan Raw, not even in the best tobacconists of the city. I've tried instead the Clan "three years limited edition", which nobody seems to know of: it's a good tobacco-forward aromatic, sold in tin at the expensive price of 16 euros for 40 g...- raybrown55

Drying Flakes and Coins
With well behaved flakes, like Mac Baren flakes and Capstan, I simply rub out, but with Samuel Gawith's and McClelland's I put the flakes in the grinder and go until I get very little chunks, then I gravity feed so that, even being a very slow puffer, I can smoke without drying (which bores me)...- raybrown55

Do We Really Have it Better?
I live near Milano and, in the old days, I saw in the Savinelli shop in the center of the city the sign "Si prega di fumare", i.e. "Please smoke", instead of "No smoking", obviously the sign has been removed years ago... The tobacco shop "Hobby Fumo", near to the Savinelli shop, haven't any...- raybrown55

Some months ago I've bought three Rossi pipes at 40 euros each, and I've used them always with English / Balkan blends (maybe because of their black colour ...) with full satisfaction; I don't find great difference in smoke taste when I use more expensive pipes...- raybrown55

I really prefer a review, maybe less objective, but that tells me about the overall taste of the tobacco, rather than a list of the characteristics of the single ingredients and I think also that reviewing after having several bowls of a blend is much better...- raybrown55
