My every day smoke is Dominican PA and 5 Brothers, sometimes I mix hg2000 or captain black with 5 bros too. I prefer the Dominican PA actually to the old pouches I had tried, I really want to nab a tub of Carter Hall at Ingles sometime. Very interesting! I had read another comment on (I believe) a review on p&c saying that PA had Turkish leaf in it (it could have been you possibly). I was only aware of it being burley and cavendish. I have the ready rubbed match. To be honest I like the flavor but it's been inconsistent for me. It's a very light subtle flavor either way, I noticed it needs drying quite a while to smoke how I want it to. I think the casing is part of the reason I have trouble with it. The US made PA had a chemical taste unless I smoked ridiculously light....was hard to enjoy to be honest. Maybe the tubs were better. Didn't have that issue with CH. I have smoked half a tub of the new DR Prince and I've enjoyed it a lot more honestly. Want to get a new tub of CH next. Could...- towhee89

Well it looked secure and the last time I opened it I always made sure to close it tight but I pushed down and just noticed I heard it move some which made me think maybe from age or something it was pushed up. I think the seal is still good because it does come up a bit trying to push it down...- towhee89

So I caught a really bad illness, COVID or the flu (not sure which) my gf's brother tested positive for the flu 2 times in the past month, so it may have been that. Anyhow, a few weeks ago when I caught it I stopped smoking for a few days, and when I finally smoked my pipe it tasted absolutely...- towhee89

Removing Stubborn Dr. Grabow Aluminum Filter/Stinger
Thanks guys, I tried heating it and no luck yet. It might need a good soak. I mean, I don't mind leaving it on if I have to but with this Dublin shape the draw is a little too restricted at the top of bowls especially. But I can see the gunk and tar in between it, so I'll have to work on it.- towhee89

Hi all, I have a Dr. Grabow Westbrook Dublin just like this (Except it has a softer stem) but I wasn't aware until I saw these photos online you could actually remove the stinger. I know you can't on say, a Kaywoodie (of which I recently bought 2 estates) but I would love to try to remove this...- towhee89
