MacBaren's Seven Seas Royal from 4noggins

None of them ship to Oz. Besides they use USPS, $80 for twelve ounces. 4noggins does it for $30. Go figure.

In Praise Of Water Rinsing a Briar Pipe

The horse is so noble, he won't even kick the living shit out of the moron that was hitting him.

MacBaren's Seven Seas Royal from 4noggins

Does anyone know if 4noggins is going to re-stock MacBaren's SSR? I emailed Jeff, but there was no response.

Is a Burnt Wall Something to Worry about?

Get some pipe mud from Scott over at Aristocob. I've used it. Highly recommended.

    Measurements of Prince Albert container

Will someone be kind enough to tell me the measurements of the current Prince Albert 14oz container, please? I'm in Oz, and am just figuring out whether I should get the tin/plastic container, or get it in bulk.

Extremely High Tobacco Costs in Utah

Oh dear, the cost of leaf is "high" in Utah. Well, brother if you were here in Oz you'd have to pay $125AUD or $90US for two ounces of leaf. Hell, we'd think we had died, and gone to heaven, only having to pay the prices you quoted....LOL!

    Humble Pie

Thanks for that. That's interesting, and very true in this case. And, probably correct in a lot of the other cases also.

    Humble Pie

    No.

    Humble Pie

    I already did know!

    Humble Pie

I really like that quote about something to sip on. It's tedious having to listen to the "half full, half empty" crew prognosticate on that alleged principle of the way we look at life. Yes, me too...just put something in the cup so I can drink it, please!

    Humble Pie

I've reheated plenty of left-overs in my time.

    Humble Pie

Yes, well, when you are heading towards 80, there seems to be a lot of the CtJ moments.

    Humble Pie

Having reviewed Granger, and provided a scathing opinion, I have to say eating 'humble pie' cold, is not a pleasant task. I revisited the said blend, and found it not to be nearly so awful as the first couple of occasions. Accordingly, I have to admit the blend is quite smokeable. I'm unsure if...

    Czech pipe tool

Yes, I remember the time when a bridge collapsed just down the road, and the tool was instrumental in getting rebuilt!

    Canerod Pipe Mud

Title edited for caps. Rule 9. -jpm Has anyone had some experience with Canerod Piper's pipe mud?

    Do you Dump Ash Mid-smoke?

Generally, I just use the Czech tool, gently disturb the ash, and quietly tap it out on the grass, ash jar etc. You can feel where the tobacco is, it gets a bit firmer than the ash. I'm sure you'll get the idea.

    Czech pipe tool

Does anyone else find that their Czech pipe tool double for a myriad of obscure jobs? I find it is very useful for a lot of weird necessary fixing, poking and removing of odd things from obscure places.

    Do you Dump Ash Mid-smoke?

Every time. One third, and sometimes two thirds the way down.

    Granger treatment

Gents, I've got this bag of Granger, and smoking it was like I was chewing cut glass...does it have to be humidified, or dried out to make more smokeable?
