    Peterson Pub Pipes?

Well, this is fortuitous! My brand, spanking new pub pipe just came in. Smoked my first bowl in it yesterday. First off, It's definitely big, but I don't think obnoxiously so. I gather that it's smaller than the house pipe, though I don't know how that translates since the pub pipe is a...

    Filter Confusion

I stick with balsa filters, both 6mm and 9mm, except for my Dr. Grabow and Medico pipes; for those the 6mm paper filters still work best. Charcoal filters wash out the flavor too much for my taste. Plus, they don't really do anything to control moisture, which is my primary concern. Stick...

    C&D Folklore

Oriental/Burley with a Virginia condiment, a la Eight State Burley, I'm down for a couple of pounds of that. Or tons. Pounds or tons, whichever.

    Full Body Tobacco

bruh Regular is great, even better with a couple of years on it. Better than that, even, with a couple of years plus a little but if airing. But have you tried the 20th anniversary release?

    English Recommendation?

For anything even remotely in the area of English or Balkan, trust in Grandmaster Latakia Pease. (Yes, that's what G. L. stands for. I have no idea where everyone is getting this 'Greg' thing.) You can't go wrong with any of the Pease offerings, whether it be his eponymous line, Drucquer & Sons...

In Need of 1A Linfield Replacement

I really enjoy the now-defunct Murray's line English blends, particularly 1A Linfield. What I like most about that blend is the savory aspect. Meaty, almost, like mesquite barbecue. I smoke a lot of English and Balkan blends, but I haven't encountered another that has that same savory aspect...

Is Classic Petersen a System pipe?

That calabash shape is my favorite in the System lines. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Is Classic Petersen a System pipe?

About half of my smokes are with System pipes. I love them, but care and feeding is a little different with these critters. I'm happy to offer pointers if you settle on one instead of a regular Peterson.

New Ashton Old Church vs New Castello Old Antiquari?

I have three Ashton's, two in the Old Church finish. I believe they were made three years ago. They look terrific and are the best smoking pipes I own in that price range.

    Hello from Israel

Shalom from Texas! I just started collecting Israeli pipes. Do you see many of those around, or is it mainly just new stuff from outside the country?
