***What Are You Smoking, August 2024?***

This morning I had some Boswell's Pennsylvania Dutch Treat in the Falcon. After a few days of Rattray's Red Rapparee, it was pretty bland by comparison, but pleasant enough.

    Greetings from Atlantic Canada

Welcome from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan! I'm also new to the pipe: I started in March, and have learned a lot from this forum (rather than the way I learn everything else: the hard way). Every time gets better and more enjoyable!

What Cigar are You Smoking? 2024

The T52s are also very good: I haven't decided which I like better yet. To play it safe, it's probably best to get both. Scientific research, you know.

***What Are You Smoking, August 2024?***

This morning, a little Blood Red Moon in the Falcon, while picking some berries and waiting for a program to run at work.

What Cigar are You Smoking? 2024

This evening my wife joined me on the deck for a Native Spirit menthol while I had a Romeo y Julieta 1875 Petit Bully. The best times are when she’s by my side. This was her third cigarette since 1985. I’ve always found cigarettes nasty, but I could smell some pleasant tobacco in the smoke...

What Cigar are You Smoking? 2024

I haven’t tried a full size one (yet), but the Liga 9 coronets are really good!

***What Are You Smoking, August 2024?***

This morning I played heathen and slept in, then went outside to sit on the deck and enjoy the weather. I had another round of Rattray’s Red Rapparee, in the Falcon Plymouth bowl this time, to see whether it’s as good as yesterday’s bowl. It was, and it’s much more to my liking than EMP. I’m...

    Green Bay, Wisconsin, Meetup?

Oh, please don’t worry about accommodating me: I only threw out 8/31 because we were planning on that date, and now it looks likely to change to 9/1 anyway. October could work for me too, and probably better than Labor Day weekend anyway. You all figure what’ll work best for you, and I’ll be...

What Cigar are You Smoking? 2024

After my first taste of Rattray’s Red Rapparee, which only lasted 30 minutes, I followed BenMN’s example and had an Oliva Serie O cigarillo. It was nice and tasty, better than when I first bought the tin in March, but not as flavorful as the larger vitolas. The Serie O (robusto) was the first...

***What Are You Smoking, August 2024?***

In today’s mail, I received some nice tobacco samples from forum member MCJ, and decided to start with Rattray’s Red Rapparee in the Falcon Dover bowl. I’m still too new to recognize and describe many flavors, but I do know that I really liked it. There were so many different flavor notes...

What Cigar are You Smoking? 2024

Social hour at work: La Aroma de Cuba Connecticut and a Summer Shandy. I have 5 cigars (so far) on my “always keep on hand” list, and this is one of them.
