    I agree with the general "VA or VA/PER" sentiment for summer. But there are times during BBQ-ing that a smokey Latakia blend is perfect!

    Furniture polish on pipes?

    The flux of the heat will drive "in-bowl to external". So an occasional "commercial" cleaning may not harm your pipes. Actually, I use neutral shoe wax on my bowls when their bi-monthly cleaning comes due. I have never noticed any residue. Would, though, feel more comfortable with Arango's Pipe...

    Brigham Pipes...What Do You Think ?

    I've owned several of the made-in-Canada's purchased new. Nice smokes and I liked the filter. But I bought an estate once. Apparently the previous owner didn't know the filter was removable. It was so munged-up and embedded in the shank that I just tossed the pipe. Nasty!

    Cigar in a pipe?

    On having killed the white whale

    I found mine in a birth year Dunhill about ten years ago (1957 shell). Smokes very well, but its wall thickness at the bottom of the bowl was minimal.
