As you may have seen in my previous posts, I picked up several estate pipes from Ebay (my Mom found a few too). I bought some buffing wheels and cleaned most all of them up for display. Two I turned into "users". My shelf is full, and a few reside in a dresser drawer. Yesterday I came across...- mojoe

Pretty typical of my pops.....he never (ever) has carried any debt, and everything he owns is in very good shape (no matter how old). I had planned to smoke this one, but once it arrived, I decided to leave it in the box and place it on a display shelf.- mojoe

@plateauguy......now that you mention that, I remember seeing that online somewhere, I'll check it out. Stopped by our local tobacco shop this afternoon and asked if they had a bowl reamer....the guy looked at me like I had six heads, then paused and opened a drawer.....had a reamer set covered...- mojoe

Shined up a few this weekend.......6 pics
8 hour soak in Oxi-Clean.....then a scrub with a paste made of Comet/water......then a buff with Tripoli......then a buff with White Diamond. Everything worked quite well, though the Voyageur stems still shows a very faint tan color in a few spots....another soak might be in order for that guy.- mojoe

@Mephistopheles....you guessed it my friend.....complete with working lid. Whoever owned it before me smoked the sh#% out of it (pun intended), cuz it's pretty nasty. So Dave gave me the bug to clean up a few old pipes I'd recently received. Now these are nothing at all like the restorations Dave performed, his work is awesome. I basically just deoxidized the stems and polished everything up a bit. Here's the pipe lot I received this past week....not a...- mojoe

Ample is correct.....I did a little google image search, and the bowl on this pipe looks bigger then most of those I saw of the same brand. Just picked up some buffing wheels, so I guess we'll see what happens.- mojoe

About the same time I received a few ebay boxes of estate pipes to fill a display cabinet, I happened to read Dave's post about restoring a few pipes this winter......I think I might have the restoration bug now. Most of the pipes I received were not great, and will work nicely for "décor"...- mojoe
