Smoking Outdoors
I enjoy fishing from a kayak when the temps warm up. Thinking this year I'd like to bring a pipe along. Can anyone give me a good recommendation of some sort of "caddy" or "pouch" that's pretty small? I travel very light when I fish from a kayak, as there's not too much storage room...- mojoe

New Forever Stem
A Phantom Gray "forever stem" was in my mailbox yesterday.....affixed it to an estate MM Washington I picked up from an estate lot on Ebay. I shortened the shank a bit, the stem is 2"......sorry for the phone pics :? -

The snow is falling, and the outside temp is 21. The yards are just beginning to be covered, so I loaded a bowl of Graduation Day into a Dr Grabow Duke and headed down to the garage. I just jarred everything up and the Graduation Day blend is quite interesting.....you can definitely smell the latakia, but as I stood there transferring from bag to jar, I could pick up a hint of sweetness, an almost brown sugary smell. This tobacco is the driest I've received to date, but not...- mojoe

The blend I put together for Graduation Day is 50% Red Virginia(5oz), 20% Black Cavendish(2oz), 20% Toasted Burley(2oz) and 10% Latakia(1oz). I was shooting for a slightly sweet and a little smokey blend that would be fairly mild. I ended up reaching out to Russ over at P&C before my purchase...- mojoe

Arrived home today to find a medium sized box on my porch. Small tin of Frog Morton Across the Pond, large tin of Frog Morton Cellar, 3oz of 1-Q and 8oz of a My Own Blend I called Graduation Day (a portion will be a gift for a soon-to-be grad)......I'm currently sanitizing Ball jars to get this...- mojoe

I Now Have a 5 Pipe Rotation
Those pipe stands are made from leather. Took a couple of old belts and cut into appropriate lengths. Drilled a hole and attached a "binder post" from a hardware store....similar to what holds a scrap book together. After that, cut an angle on the top so the pipe would fit properly. -
