    Pipe filters(do it yourself) question

cortezattic wrote: I would think that just about everyone has heard of the salt and alcohol treatment for pipe bowls. When I tried it I found that the salt presented clean-up problems of its own. Has anyone ever considered using activated charcoal instead of salt? Yes I just read a method of...

    Pipe filters(do it yourself) question

I smoked some Japanese cigarettes that had a charcoal filter as opposed to a paper filter. I bet if you bought some activated charcoal from an aquarium store you could roll that into a coffee filter or tea bag and that'd work.

    Help me identify this pipe

Hello all, I just got this on ebay and wondered if anyone has ever heard of S & G Pipes? This is a billiard pipe with S & G Anniversary mark in an oval shape on the left side of the shank, London England 9436 on the other side of the shank. There's also a stylized SG mark on the left side of the...

Welcome Ville, I like pipe smoking because there's so much variety in tobaccos and I can appreciate the beauty of a fine made pipe. Also, the experience is a lot different than smoking cigarettes or cigars - more contemplative somehow. The members of this forum have a lot of knowledge to share...

The Latakia was really different then anything I've ever tried - first impressions were good and made me think of pine and tea. I don't remember the name of the blend, there were a few floating around that night with Latakia in it. I should have taken better notes! Having rarely spoken to other...

Funny you should mention that, I was just checking out their site. I like the looks of their Missouri Pride model. I didn't really take them seriously until reading some articles about them recently.

Hello, my name is Joseph Paul and I just moved to Denver from St. Pete, Florida. I've been a pipe smoker since January 2004. I joined the Denver League of Pipe Smokers and went to my first meeting last Thursday - a great group and I got to try a lot of different tobaccos - first time trying...
