    Evening Tobacco

Does the group have any suggestions for a good evening tobacco to be used at the end of a long day? I'm looking for something along those lines and I don't have a much experience with the various brands.

How To Clean Cob Pipe Rim?

I am practicing with a corn cob while I get the hang of this, especially when it comes to proper packing. I am using drug store tobacco now since I'm still in that "what-the-heck-are-you-doing?" stage. The corn cob is a terrific smoker and a good teacher.

    Filtered Pipes

Can a filtered pipe be properly smoked if you remove the filter. I find it difficult to get a decent draw when the filter is in my Savinelli.

    Beginner Pipes

If you can't afford a $250 pipe, you can't be a part of this pastime. But seriously, I'm a fan of corncobs for people new to the hobby (like me). They work beautifully and are very inexpensive, so you can see if this is for you or not. Some long time pipers won't use anything but a corncob.

    Stay Safe

I spoke to a friend in Pensacola this morning. They said they're getting wind gusts and rain squalls and a pounding surf on the coast. Expecting a good deal of erosion. The only good news I've heard so far is that the hurricane has been downgraded to a Cat One and will hit with 85 mph winds...

    PAD and TAD Annual Record

I try to live simply, so my place is very small. I have an Ikea cabinet with a door on it to store my pipes and cigars along with the tobacco and accessories. I've just started this year, but I'm trying to keep my pipes to a minimum (stop laughing!). I currently own three: a Savinelli Roma 673...

High-End Pipes - Do They Improve the Smoking Experience?

I think as a general rule, the higher the price, the better the materials and crafting that goes into making the pipe. I would expect a batch of $30 pipes to have more defective pipes produced than the same number of $200 pipes. In my mind, if I spend over $80 for a pipe, I'm looking for a good...

    H. Wiebe Pipes?

I've been trying all weekend and today to order one of their pipe and bowl systems, but every time I complete my order information abnd submit, I keep getting a message saying that they cannot process my transaction and to try again in a few minutes. But it's the same message every time. I've...

    Aromatics and Non-Aromatics

Here's a completely noob question. When tobacco shopping online, how can you tell when a tobacco is aromatic and when it isn't? The tins or the website don't always tell you this. Usually if I see the word "Cherry Flavored" or the like, I figure it's aromatic, but is there another way to tell?

    2020 NFL Kickoff

For those of you still into football, I'm glad your drought is finally over. Like many others here, these spoiled millionaires have permanently turned me off to the game.

    Pipes and Tobaccos Magazine

Hello. Did the paper edition of Pipes stopped being made? I can't see hard copies available for sale so I was assuming it's online-only now. Edit: Corrected the title.
