Tobacco Presents from Santa—What to Get?

Cheers guys! I went for the Gawith Hogarth seasonal reserve along with the pipe and a Tsubota Pearl - Bolbo pipe lighter. Oh and some more cleaning stuff.

Tobacco Presents from Santa—What to Get?

Title edited for caps and specificity. So I’m putting together a pipe and tobacco selection order for myself to order from Father Christmas because I’m such a good boy. I’m going for the Savinelli Christmas poker pipe…which should do nicely. See attached image. But the question is what...

Carbon like covering on my new pipe

Hey all! I have bought a new savinelli 320 (treated myself). I noticed however that the inside of the bowl has a black lining. Does this mean that the pipe itself wont require so much breaking in? Thanks!

    Peterson - Killarney (yuck)

Just to clarify...this is a moan about Peterson Killarney....not DLNY. I read it back and it and that wasnt specified enough...haha

    Peterson - Killarney (yuck)

Another whinge.... I am new to pipe smoking. Maybe I have just been lucky so far but this post goes alongside my moan about Peterson De Luxe Navy Rolls. In the last package i ordered I went for DLNY along with Peterson Killarney. It kind of tastes like when you got to a coffee shop and order...

    Peterson De Luxe Navy Rolls.

I think that sounds like a good plan.

    Peterson De Luxe Navy Rolls.

To be fair the smoke I had Saturday was straight out the tin. I didn't bother drying it at all. I wonder if ia bit of drying may improve things.

    Peterson De Luxe Navy Rolls.

By linear i basically made there is no really depth to the flavours. Just very singular almost.

    Peterson De Luxe Navy Rolls.

I smoked some De luxe Davy rolls by Peterson today. Feel slightly disappointed I thought the flavour was quite linear. What are people thinking about this tobacco?

    Tobacco management

Its an interesting point. i think it might be because i was finding that my aromatics seemed so much more flavoursome straight out the tin. I feel like as the tobacco dry's i lose that flavour.

    UK Pipe Smokers....or Lack Thereof

I get the impression that a lot of people in this thread smoke at home. Others members of my household smoke in our garage which is far from comfortable so if i do smoke at home it's on the step outside as long as the sun is shining. Even that I don't feel particularly relaxing. There is so much...

    Tobacco management

I've been a pipe smoker for what must be only a couple of months now. One of the things that I'm really lacking in is good tobacco management. Now what I mean by that is the transport of tobacco for when im out and the process of returning it to the air tight giant jar i have the holds about 5...

    UK Pipe Smokers....or Lack Thereof

I just had a look at the website! It's a shame there their meet up point is the other side of London. Its a bit of a jaunt away for someone that doesn't drive.

    UK Pipe Smokers....or Lack Thereof

Oh no im sure it's beautiful. I meant is it worth it pipe smoking if you have to pay 300 percent duty. I guess if friends are bringing it over then its ok. Where there is a will there is a way!
