Hey everyone-
I’d like to reach out to the collective knowledge of the forum members regarding a possible alternative to the oft criticized softy-bits. I tend to be a bit of a chewer when I clench, so in the past I relied on the rubber pieces to protect the stems/bits. Recently, I was...
My old man once told me that a person learns by one of three ways: some learn through reading, while others learn by observation, and then there are those that just have to piss on the electric fence themselves.
It seems I have an uncanny attraction to the third option.
And I should add that I know this box pales in to comparison to many member’s collection, but I’ve only been at it for two or so years and our current living space is a 1 bedroom, 800 sq. ft. apartment.

As my wife and I have started to pack up the house for the upcoming move, it finally came time to start boxing up the various tins and jars of tobacco. Purchased bit by bit over the years, she never paid much attention. But now that it was all...
So a follow up to the bachelors party. It seems everyone here is surprised to the fact that "ladies of the night" were not involved as part of the usual festivities. Since this was taking place out in the 'holler of rural Tennessee, I was a little cautious on requisitioning such services...
Hah! I was eyeballing that same pouch. Congrats on the win and I'm glad I didn't get into a bidding war with you. Hope you get to enjoy the surprise tobacco.
I've spoken with him via email to purchase an estate Dunny. A class act all the way. I always look forward to when he uploads some new pipes. Someday I hope to have one, turning my 7 day All-American set to an 8 day. :ROFLMAO:
I’m not a huge fan of what I’d call “heavy” aros, but Old Toby is a great blend. Rivendell on the other hand is my ‘stuck on an island‘ tobacco. Man, that stuff is just awesome.
My All-American 7 day set is finally assembled. From left to right:
Silver Gray, Steve Morisette, Jerry Crawford, Clark Layton, J&J, Charles Cole, Steve Liskey. Some were new, some used estates, and some unused estates.
This Bill Shalosky smooth egg. I love everything about it, but the price. I just can't bring myself to spend over $400 for a pipe and this one is well beyond that. Hell, anything over $200 gets me antsy. But we all have our dream pipe..

Hey gang,
So the question is in the title, do pipes with a very light "blond" stain darken with use/age? I just received a beautiful Clark Layton pipe, and am just curious if its color will change over time or not.
Well, I originally ordered an estate Adam Remington from SP when they had their sale.. but damn, it was just too big for me. So I swapped it for this Charles Cole and I couldn’t be happier.
And yet another forum member fades to silence. 2020 isn’t starting off too good fellas (and ladies).
May Bruce’s heaven be filled with endless tins of Bombay Court, scantily clad women, and empty canvasses ready to be filled.
