    Danish Sir Walter Raleigh

After a few years of this abomination I've come to the conclusion that I STRONGLY believe STG is doing this on purpose. Why?, to justify the cancelation of the tobacco completely. I think they want to thin the herd with how many brands of pipe tobacco they produce. I've had SWR, Granger, Half...

    Sutliff Mixture 79 Cherry Brandy

I bet that Black and Burley was tasty!

The Decline of Prince Albert and Carter Hall

Wen Chatham Manor first came out it was only available in tubs. I reluctantly bought one and instantly regretted it. It was a hot mess. The worst tongue bite I've ever had. It literally fried my whole mouth. I gifted it to someone and they loved it.

    Cowboy Coffee

Ah, yeah, I don't know then. I have smoked some from a year and a half ago and some fresh stuff and to be honest Brad, I can't tell the difference only that the older stuff is a little smoother. I wanted to see if there was a change after talking about it. I'll dig some out of my closet from two...

    Cowboy Coffee

Brad, it didn't change yet. When Sutliff announced their closing the CS bought PLENTY of blending tobacco. They are still using Sutliff leaf today. Jon David is a very intelligent strategic business man. Cowboy Coffee, Cherokee, Baker Street etc. are very popular house blends. I guarantee Jon...

    Morning Blends

    My Journey into Burley Blends

Love Mixture-79. I have a tub and several pounds in Mason jars sleeping in my cellar. I was very upset when Sutliff closed. There are some match blends they made that were good.

    My Journey into Burley Blends

How is that Uhle's my burley brother? I've been wanting to try the 00 burley from them. For now I've been stocking up on CS Cowboy Coffee and Black and Tan.

    Cowboy Coffee

I have around 3½ pounds in my cellar right now from before Sutliff closed. I probably won't have any newer stuff for a while.

    Half and Half Tobacco

It changed along with ALL the other OTC blends that Lane made in Tucker GA. When they announced their closing of the Tucker plant back in 2019 I went a little nuts with buying 12oz tubs. The only one I didn't stock up on was H&H. I still had some left and it wasn't one that I smoked often. When...

    My Journey into Burley Blends

I'm a burley man. But I do like cavendished Virginia too. I'm not big on Latakia, but used very sparingly, like Edward G. Robinson or Epiphany, I like it. But then again, I can smoke up some Middleton's Walnut given the chance lol. I have about eight ounces left that I'm selfishly hoarding...

    My Journey into Burley Blends

Me too! I asked him also and that was his response. It was cavendished cigar leaf. I bought the unsweetened black Cavendish that is used in Pegasus to add in Pegasus at times. It definitely makes the room note nicer but also makes the pluums of smoke HUGE!
