Cornell & Diehl - Carolina Red Flake w/Perique in a Radice and a Cup

Thanks. I agree with you. I know my late friend David loved that pipe. I think of him when I smoke it and other ones that I got from his sister after he passed away. He had a great eye for quality.
Wow, what a wonderful memory to enjoy while having a smoke.

C&D Captain Bob’s Blend followed by Visions of Celephais. Both of these were on the chopping block but I wanted to give them one more chance. They didn’t make it, adios my weird little friends. They are both really different and interesting and I would actually recommend you try them based on their unique flavors.
I smoked them in a cob so instead of looking at an old vegetable, please consider this beauty that I do not own.View attachment 441763
Nice. “Visions” is on my “not really motivated to try it, but need to just for posterity” list😆🍇

NOTE2: Along with different tobaccos I bring to my monthly Pipe Club Meeting, as do my Pipe Club Brothers, I'm tempted to bring some Odds & Ends some time. I'm wondering if anybody would say "Hey, I'd like to try that.", or would the feeling be "WTH's the point? Aren't we sharing tobacco that can be identified?"
NOTE3: I recall back during my early teen years, a Great Uncle on my Dad's side always brought out, over the Holidays, his bottle that he called "My Special Good Stuff" ... which was basically an Odds & Ends bottle of all types of Bourbon, Canadian Whisky, even a splash or two of Brandy & Rum. I recall he'd use it to spice up his homemade Eggnog. Us kids would get some Eggnog, but virgin, no alcohol. Interesting that I don't recall any of the other Adult Men ever making any negative comments on his "Good Stuff". No Tequila, Vodka, Gin was in it.
That puts me in mind of an old friend of my father's (and mine), who - having been all his life, because of his humble origins, a victim of snobbery of various kinds - had his revenge on a malt whisky snob: the family friend, himself, like my father, a connoisseur of Scotch single malt whiskies (but never vaunted it), served this pretentious wretch a cheap blended supermarket own-brand Scotch which he had decanted into an empty 50-year-old Glen Grant bottle (or something like that), and did his utmost to keep his face straight while the fool sniffed at his glass, rolled a little thoughtfully around his tongue, swallowed, smacked his lips and uttered some ballocks about the uniqueness of the water of the river Spey, the subtle peat-and heather-tones, the granite terroir, blah blah blah. 😆

Might I suggest that you introduce your - ahem - blend - to your pipe club associates, as "Just some aged Oriental-Virginia mix I threw together a while back: a naif little confection without any breeding, but I think you'll be amused by its presumption"?
