It almost sounds like it was in a drawer in a house you purchased and you found it. Is that what happened?

Or was it one you previously owned that you now enjoy in the garden of your new home?

Got it from an antiquary in England who didn’t like eBay. He had his own website and sold exclusively antique pipes. I asked him about the origin of the pipe and he said “I got it from a gentleman whose family had it in a drawer since the 1920-30s because no one in the family smoked pipes.”
The antiquary was retiring and trying to sell everything. But this Dunhill was his most prized possession.

Well, 220 grams is just half the weight of this other pipe I have.

Well, the weird part of the story is when he didn’t want to ship the pipe because it was too valuable and he was afraid it would be lost/stolen in transit. My daughter, who lives in Switzerland, travelled to London to pick it up. She made a video of the transfer meeting.
