I’m highly partial to #515 but the last time I ordered it it took a long time to ship.

This time I ordered some Rumcake in October and it’s been over a month, hadn’t heard anything. Got in touch with the guy over there and he said “it will ship this week” it’s been 2 weeks since then.

Anyone else experienced this lately? Should I just get the charge back on my debit card?

I had a similar experience with my first order, finally got John on the phone, and he explained that it was becoming very difficult to source quality leaf to make his blends. I'm happy to wait, I just hope the supply situation improves, and that he's doing well otherwise!
I worry about that too. Wilke is my favorite blender. If they were to fold I’d hate to lose access to 515

I placed an order Nov 12th & never received an acknowledgement email .

I don't mean to bad-mouth John , but every order I've placed with him has taken 3-4 weeks to be delivered .

I think I'll email him today.........

To be clear, I’m not trying to bad mouth anyone. I just hadn’t heard anything and I was wondering if there was any information I wasn’t privy to as I’m not really plugged into the know.

He did text me back finally And tell me my order was being shipped. So we’ll see.

But the goal of this post wasn’t to disparage anyone.

I’ve had this issue before with another shop. The reason was they thought they could get the leaf but then it was delayed. They contacted me after a couple weeks and offered a refund or said I could keep waiting. I opted to wait. After another month or so the leaf arrived and I had my order within a week.
So they are basically selling stuff that they don't have?

I guess so if you want to look at it that way.

Please keep in mind these are small shops and real hardworking people work in them. They don’t always have the time to update a website, especially when they think they will have the supply they need within a relatively short amount of time.

Please keep in mind these are small shops and real hardworking people work in them. They don’t always have the time to update a website, especially when they think they will have the supply they need within a relatively short amount of time.
I get that, but I also value transparency.

In your case, the shop did the right thing by contacting you and giving you an option to bail out or wait longer - which is also required by the FTC, btw.

In the OP's case, keeping him in the dark since October not only seems unethical from the personal point of view, but also may be breaking the law by not specifying that the product is made-to-order as opposed to readily available, and by neglecting to ship the product timely or contact the OP.

Hello just wanted to reach out and let you know shipping has been slow but you will get your order. It's been
a very hard year getting in good tobacco we try to keep the web site updated with in stock items. We get a tobacco

JMO , Wilke has some of the best aromatics around .

I might as well stir things up , but if you liked EGR , I would suggest getting an aromatic sampler pack from John . My favorite is 196 .
I love their 515, I have rum cake on the way, I haven’t found anywhere else that has a remotely tasty rum flavoring like Wilke does
