Anyone buys Amphora pouches sold in Canada? I`ve acquired one recently (Black Cavendish), to find out the pouch is not vacuum-sealed. I'm just wondering if it's a one off thing or if there's been a change.
It has been discontinued, whats in Canada is whats left of what Brigham had in stock, Brigham being the distributor for the MacBaren stuff in Canada. It has 110% absolutely been discontinued as in not in production anymore so if you have access to anything from them you enjoy at your local B&M, stock up and hoard if you can because once Brighams well is dry, its gone, forever.I know you`re trying to be helpful, mate. However I do need a Canadian buying Amphora in Canada to shed some light on my question.
This brand is strong on the Canadian market and has not been discontinued.
PS I never paid attention to the seals on the Kentucky and Virginia from Amphora that I stocked up on I just jarred it all up. Never just leave pouches. Immediately jar it once you get it.
Amphora Kentucky was/is one of my favorite every day blends, simple and amazing. I have a few pounds and I’ll be so heartbroken when its gone forever.
In Canada we have this ugly plain packaging thing going on with all tobacco products. The packages your Amphora blends and the ones on our market will be very different.in Europe where Amphoras are widely available they come in a high-quality foiled pouches with an adhesive seal, whereas last time when I got few pouches of Amphora Reds from Spain I was surprised noticing packages were different to those sold in Netherlands & Germany,,inferior quality so to say, with no foil inside
Yeah bro, the STG vikings attacked the Mac Baren/ Sutliff villages and burned everything to the ground last year. After reading @Wapask feedback, I contacted a few tobacconists. For the most part they believe Amphora is done in Canada; and the memo is get what you can before it's gone.
Wow, what a disappointment!
I've been smoking a pipe for close to 40 years and Amphora blends were always part of the landscape. I've enjoyed Black Cavendish, Full Aroma and Rich Aroma, which remains a favorite.
I thought they were part of the bestsellers in this country; I'm saddened to see them go away. Even of the price tag has become retarded. Because to me, it's better to buy online in the country than go through the BS of buying abroad and have to deal with customs.
Bloody Vikings!Yeah bro, the STG vikings attacked the Mac Baren/ Sutliff villages and burned everything to the ground last year.
