I remember when a coffee cost 50 cents, cigarettes were $1.25 and a six pack was about $2
Well when I started driving I worked in a Sinclair gas station on weekends. It was identical to the one pictured below and it was in Manasquan, NJ.

Anyway, back then gas was about .24 cents a gallon and a pack of cigarettes was close in price. Also when Marlboro introduced cigarettes in a box……. wow….. no longer crushed smokes.

I remember life before a microwave oven.

I remember when my dad bought his first basic calculator... for $300.

I remember when you could get a used '69 Camaro that ran and wasn't rusted out for $3000.

I remember rejoicing when cigarettes were banned from restaurants. (Sorry, I was never a ciggie fan)

I remember riding my dirtbike down the side of a public road without a helmet.

I remember when I could get a steak dinner with a drink at a strip club for $4.99 (I have since repented. lol)

I remember when my knees worked, my back didn't hurt, and I was not beat to shit by the military.

I remember when all freight trains had a caboose. We were probably 13 or 14 always hanging at the tracks running our traps or just plinking with our air guns. A slow moving train would go by and if the guys were lounging around the caboose we'd yell at them,"throw us some fusees " (sometimes called railroad flares.) They more than not would toss us kids a few. We'd go down to the creek and try not to burn our eye out😂. Those we're the days.

I remember when gas was .24 cents a gallon and people would go out of their way to buy gas if it was 1 cent cheaper.
